INT. HALLWAY - DREAM

MARK (14), stands at foot of stairs looking around. Shines torch

around revealing nothing out of the ordinary. lightning flashes
as we hear footsteps.

He listens to the sounds of approaching footsteps, his torch

still revealing nothing.

Mark POV - looks towards main door, hears voices, voices and
sees lights/shadows coming from outside.

He walks over and opens the door

I/E. FRONT DOOR - DREAM

Mark POV - looks from doorway, lightning flashes from the purple
sky revealing an old pathway leading to a track lined with
trees. An old carriage stands in distance. The outline of a
figure is also seen.

Rain falls from the purple darkness. Mark walks out into the
heavy rain looking for the source. He stands drenched near the
track.

He sees a child watching him, a smile on his face as they make

contact, the boy turns and looks to his right.

Mark hears the thunderous sound of rolling thunder, A commotion

is heard in the mist and then another sound like horses hooves
on rocky ground, galloping

He realises then that the thunder is a carriage. He looks harder

at the shadows in the mist and sees the outline of a horse
pulled carriage emerge at speed, it gallops right towards him…

CUT TO: END DREAM STATE

INT. EARLY MORNING - HALLOWEEN - BEDROOM

We see shot of Marks bedroom, a sci-fi horror cover and wall

pics. Some items resembling Halloween are scattered around the
room.

Mark suddenly wakes up. Shooting out of his bed with a silent
scream and fear on his face.

INT. LIAM’S BEDROOM

We now see a shot of Liam’s bedroom with a more astronomy and

sci-fi look, bright room, sunny, some items resembling
Halloween.

LIAM (14) Blond, is awake lying in bed when he hears a scream.

He walks to his brothers room.

INT. MARKS ROOM - BRIGHT

Liam walks in and shuts door, looks at brother who just sits in
bed. Mark looks up at Liam. Fear on Mark’s face.

Liam walks closer, and sits on a chair near desk.

LIAM
Nightmares?

MARK
Yea, this time it was worse.

LIAM
That’s what you said last time,
seems to me it’s been getting
worse since it started.

MARK
Started after ever since Zack
disappeared in that house.

LIAM
what happened this time?

MARK
(Nervously)
I saw the horse and carriage, it
came towards me.

LIAM
weird, wonder what that has to do
with the house?

MARK
Remember the ghost story, its how
it all started.

LIAM
oh yea.
(hesitates)
You still not worked out what it
means?

MARK
No, Oliver’s been looking into
it.

LIAM
I think we need to go to the
house.

MARK
(looks nervously)
But Zack’s friends said that
horrible things happened; they
only just got out themselves.

maybe that’s a reason.

MARK
You serious.

LIAM
Look, we have a few days off
school, why not use that time to
check it out, unless you have
other plans.

MARK
Regrettably no.

LIAM
Well then, lets do it.

MARK
If the others in yea.

LIAM
Well we meeting them in an hour
on the tri- so we better get
ready.

MARK
OK.

FADE OUT.

EXT. OUTSIDE HOUSE - MOMENTS LATER

FADE IN:

The two boys walk towards the Triangle.

EXT. THE TRIANGLE - - CONTINUOUS

OLIVER (14) with his long thick black hair stands under a Tree
with MAT a small 13 year old with brown hair, sitting on a
bench. They see the others coming and walk to greet them.

MAT OLIVER
Hi guys. Hi guys

OLIVER
You look dreadful?

LIAM
He had one of his nightmares
again,
(pause)

LIAM (CONT’D)
It was worse than the last one.

OLIVER
what happened this time?

MARK
This time I saw a boy, he was
smiling. I was also outside the
house, suddenly a horse and
carriage came from nowhere
towards me, it got close and…….
Then I woke up.

OLIVER
(thinking out loud)
That’s Interesting.

MARK
(sarcastically)
Glad you think so.

MAT
So what’s the plan for today?

MARK
Well I thought we try the
Cemetery.

LIAM
(looks at mark, shakes head)
Actually we decided, we check out
the House, actually go inside
this time.

MARK
(looking at Liam strangely
giving a sharp looks)
After these nightmares I’m not
sure.

LIAM
you’ve always wounded what
(MORE)
happened to Zack, you said
yourself that you’d like to go
in.

LIAM(CONT'D)
There was a lot the others didn’t
explore, and maybe these dreams
you having are a sign that we
need to go.

MAT
There's also that locked door
that no one has been able to
open.

MARK
I’m not sure, ever since that day
when Zack went missing I’ve
passed the house; I’ve a sense of
something evil.

LIAM
then maybe this is what we need
to do, find out what happened to
Zack and the truth.

OLIVER
I've done some looking into this,
it is interesting and your dreams
do go with what happened in that
house.

MARK
maybe it will answer, but these
dreams are killing me, like
someone is calling me.
(Oliver looks at liam)

LIAM
maybe its Zack.

OLIVER
then it’s the house we shall go,
be there at 8:00pm.

FADE OUT.

FADE IN:

EXT. EVENING 8:00PM - OUTSIDE HILL HOUSE

- - HOUSE (TO BE ADDED)

CUT TO:

INT. INSIDE HOUSE FOYER - DULL - CONTINUOUS

All five enter the hallway, the door closing behind them, they
stop and look around the large foyer, cobwebs and dust cover
everything almost undisturbed. They split and look around the
foyer for any clues.

LIAM
So what is the story about this
house?

OLIVER
According to legend almost over a
century ago, a man named Hugh
Crane had this house built on
this hill, strangely he called it
Hill House and moved in with his
wife, although little is known of
her, the legacy he left has
been spoken of for many, many
years.

We see Mark looking at the Desk with photos.

OLIVER (O.C.) (CONT’D)

It is' believed that tragedy
first struck when his wife was
killed in a coaching accident
outside the front door of the
house.

As he mentions it he spins torch to Mark, who returns the look.

MARK
Great, so I was seeing the death,
of his wife.

LIAM
Looks like it,
(pauses)
What happened next?

We see Mat looking around the staircase. A few weird ornaments

at the side.

OLIVER (O.C.)
He re-married, but his second
wife was killed when she fell
down the stairs, or pushed as
some have believed.

MAT
(shining torch on stairs)
We better watch out for that

They continue to look around the foyer and the stairs as Oliver
finished the story as he looked at a large painting,

OLIVER
He got married again. He died
before his wife yet she fell to
the curse that had taken this
house, she died at the hands of a
knife man inside the house,

LIAM
(interrupting)
Well that's not too bad, at least
its not by a ghost.

MARK
Typical of curses though.

OLIVER
Sorry to put the spooky breaks on
but.....,

MARK
(inturrupts)
Great a but.

OLIVER
Like I was saying, when the
police arrived all the doors
where locked and there was no
force entry in or out of the
house, no one was charged as
there was no evidence.

MARK (O.C.)
Thanks.

OLIVER
Some believe it was the spirit of
Crane. Since then the locals have
lived in fear of the house, which
was renamed, Hawthorne House.

MARK
Ok, so he murdered all 3 wives,
or something in this house did?

MAT
But what about the other deaths
and spirits?

As Oliver continued they all met at the bottom of the stairs.

OLIVER
From then A number of others have
brought the house only to be
caught to the houses evil curse;
(pause)
There was one family that moved
in, they reported strange goings
on, footsteps, smells, cries and
others. A few months later hell
broke loose, its reported that
the father (MORE)
went crazy and
slaughtered the whole family – 2
kids 2 adults and there dogs, he
killed himself.

However, that is just the police
report, what really happened in
this house we will never know.

MARK
Sounds familiar.

MAT
Amityville.

MARK
Yea that's it.

MAT
Proberly why they came to that
conclusion.

LIAM
Let him finish, what next.

OLIVER
Thanks
(hesitates)
Since then strange things have
happened, many have come in and
tried to investigate these
strange goings on. There are
stories of a third child, found
inside one of the locked rooms;
he was not a member of the
family, no identity. They say
there may be more bodies in there
but they have no proof or reason
for a warrant.
The child was supposed to
possess anyone who came in. Many
have stayed here only to
disappear or flee in fear.

LIAM
Zack and his friends where the
last ones to enter, according to
his friends they were separated.
Things where flying around, hands
pushed them on the stairs, smells
and screams. When they left and
realised Zack had not returned
home they called help, but no one
found anything, Zack disappeared
and as you know nothing was ever
found.

OLIVER
Exactly.

They all stand in silence for a while, the house silently waited
in return.

LIAM
Well if there’s anything to the
story, it’s waiting for us to
make the first move.

Mat looks ahead facing the Library door and shines his torch as
though gaining there attention. He slightly moves forward.

MAT
(puzzled look)
that’s weird.

All turn facing Mat

MARK
What.

MAT
(pointing to door)
look, there’s a light coming from
the library.

They walked towards the door. Oliver reaches for the handle and
slowly opens it.

INT. - LIBRARY - CONTINUOUS

Oliver walks in cautiously and the others followed. They scan

the room.

A dim light just bright enough to highlight the room. A large

table laid with photos. Cabinets with ornaments and books lined
the walls. Cobwebs and dust caked everything apart from the
table, which seemed as though someone had just dusted it.

They scattered and looked around the room.

FX - FOOTSTEPS AND SCRATCHING SOUNDS IN BACKGROUND

OLIVER
What that smell?

LIAM
Fragrance, flowers or something.

MAT
Air freshener.

LIAM
Doubt it, they not have that back
then.

MAT
Oh yea, well there no flowers
here.
(pauses)
Anyone hearing that scratching?

LIAM
Yea, I think its coming from the
table.

INT. TABLE - CONTINUOUS

Mat approached the table. He notices a piece of paper, he picks

it up and glances at it, turning to others. Oliver stands near
him.

MAT
(Handing paper to Oliver)
Hay you guys, look.

OLIVER
(Reading aloud)
There are many things happening
here, yet Jake is waiting.

MARK
Now that’s spooky.
(Stops dead, deep though fear
on face)

OLIVER
Whats up? You look like you seen
a ghost.

MARK
I’m not sure. It’s just like in
my dream, yet I saw one of us
writing this letter, also the
rooms the same.

OLIVER
Who wrote the letter?

MARK
Liam, but it’s not his
handwriting.

MAT
Let me look.
(Looks, read then raises head
to others)

MAT (CONT’D)
I think its Zack’s, his
handwritings similar to Liam’s.

LIAM
That’s spooky. So Mark in your
dream what else you remember?

As they continued to talk they made there way to the door

MAT
let’s not dwell on the dreams, it
may not be reliable. Lets go look
around and head for that locked
room.

MARK
But shouldn’t we do what the
dreams says?

INT. DOOR CLOSED - CONTINUOUS

LIAM,
No, Mat’s right it may mislead
us.

MARK
Then why the locked room?

OLIVER
because that’s active, I think
what ever happened here has
something to do with that room.

INT. DOOR (OPEN) - CONTINUOUS

LIAM
OK, Lets split up, we all meet
outside the room. That way at
least one of us should get there,
I have a funny feeling they know
we here and playing with us.

OLIVER
OK, we will go upstairs, you two
look around downstairs.

INT. FOYER AT FOOT OF STAIRS - CONTINUOUS

MAT, OLIVER STARTED UPSTAIRS. LIAM AND MARK HEAD FOR THE KITCHEN

FADE TO BLACK.

INT. FOYER SOUTH SIDE - CONTINUOUS

FADE IN:

INT. - IN FRONT OF DOOR

THE BOYS APPROACH KITCHEN. THEY STOP AS THEY HEAR SCRAMBLING

BEHIND THE DOOR, SOUNDS OF FOOTSTEPS AND CRASHING.

lights start to flash on and off. A Thumping sound echoes around

them.

MARK
Sounds like something got in.

LIAM
Yea, proberly some animal. Lets
check it out.

MARK
Ok, you first.

LIAM
(looks at mark)
Right.

They open door and cautiously enter

INT. KITCHEN - CONTINUOUS

AN OLD FASHION KITCHEN WITH SOME MODERN UTILITIES. AS THEY OPEN

IT THEY ARE MET WITH POLTERGEIST ACTIVITY

MARK
Ok, I think there here.

LIAM
you think,
(pauses and ducks)
watch your head.

OBJECTS ARE BEING THROWN AROUND THE KITCHEN, FEW NEARLY MISSES
THE BOYS. A FEW SECOND IN THE ACTIVITY STOPS.

THE BEGIN TO LOOK AROUND IN THE DIM LIGHT

INT. KITCHEN - NEAR BACK DOOR - LIGHT

Liam looks around the back door

LIAM
I not see any animals or any sign
of break in.

MARK (O.C.)
Neither do I, looks like what
ever it was, was outside.

LIAM
Na it was inside and it sounded
like an animal or person
scraping.

MARK (O.C.)
(interrupting)
Any sign of break in?

LIAM
(first mumbles then loud)
Thats weird,
(hesitates)
The recess on the Yale lock has
been torn off, but the pad locks
OK.

Mark joins him

MARK
What does that mean?

LIAM
It means that the noise wasn’t
something breaking in, as the
padlock would have given way. So
someone - or something - was
trying to break out, in the
process had caused the damage.

MARK
Wow, come something you should
see.

LIAM
(follows marks)
What?

INT. KITCHEN - NEAR BASEMENT

MARK
Found these handles, there all
over the floor.

LIAM
Strange.

Both look at each other with a scary look. They continued to

look around

LIAM (CONT’D)
Is it me or is there a chill in
the air?

MARK
Cold spots, I read about those.
Just wish get rid of that smell
of rotten food.

LIAM
Did you open the cellar door?

MARK
No, not sure if it was shut or
open.

LIAM
I thought it was shut earlier/

INT. KITCHEN - BASEMENT ENTRANCE - CONTINUOUS

Liam approaches the door and opens it further, he stands as if

trying to remember something

LIAM
You remember if Oliver said
anything about the basement?

MARK
No, but I get a feeling I not
want to know.

There was a sudden gust of wind from the cellar, an agonizing

scream and a growl, it lasted 5 seconds and was defining. Mark
was pushed to ground, he got up and after he gained his bearings
and looked around.

LIAM
Mark, can I ask you something?

MARK
Yea

he saw Liam confused, as Liam stood at the entrance Mark noticed

something odd, there was loneliness about him and he looked sad”

LIAM
Would you miss me if I was gone

Mark looked at him confused and taken a back by the Question

MARK
Why you asked that
(pause)
yea I would, you’re my twin
brother, and it would be like a
piece of me is missing

Liam looked up and a slight grin,

LIAM
So if I was trapped and injured
you’d help me, or at least come
back to help me no matter what

MARK
Yes, ill do anything

even if it meant leaving me alone
to get help, you’d come back

(pause)
You scaring me, why you asking
these Questions

Suddenly a light flashed and the wind came again knocking them
off there feet, it lasted a second, they all got up and regained
there bearings again, Liam looked at Mark.

He moved away and headed out.

LIAM
Come let’s keep looking, we might
find some answers in the other
rooms.

Mark shone the torch into the basement and looked back at Liam

MARK
But what about the basement,
shouldn’t we check out what that
was?

LIAM
No, well check that with the
others on way back, I think it be
wasted at moment.

Mark looked at him curious, and slowly followed Liam.

FADE OUT.

INT. UPSTAIRS - HALLWAY - SAME TIME

FADE IN:

INT. HALLWAY TOP OF STAIRS

THEY REACHED THE TOP OF STAIRS, COBWEBS AND THICK DUST WAS
EVERYWHERE. THE HALLWAYS WHERE DULL, 2 CORRIDORS, ONE TO LEFT
ANOTHER TO RIGHT

The look around at the pictures.

MAT
Where now?

OLIVER
Not sure, think both lead into
one another anyway.

Mat stops suddenly and shines tourch down corridoor as he hears

a groaning

MAT
Did you hear that?

OLIVER
Hear what.

MAT
Sounded like a woman groaning.

OLIVER
Not hear anything.

MAT
Like A groan, it came from one of
the rooms down that way.

Another groan

OLIVER
Now that I did hear, its coming
from that room, come.

MAT
(nervously)
Ok.

Oliver turns and shines tourch at mats face.

OLIVER
Come on, that's what we hear
right, to seek.

MAT
Yea but, but we not know what to
expect.

OLIVER
(small chuckle)
Exactly. Come on.

They carried on down the hallway shining there torch around at

the Paintings and other objects

INT. HALLWAY - NEAR BEDROOM DOOR

OLIVER
OK we here.

MAT
Something moving inside, see the
shadows in the light.

I know, can hear the footsteps.
(pauses)
After you.
(shines torch at Mat smiles)

MAT
Thanks.

Mat reaches for handle and opens it

They walk in cautiously

CUT TO:

INT. MASTER BEDROOM

The large bed was near the window, two small cabinets stood
either side. The large windows where shut, curtains half open
and slightly shredded. A dust caked dresser stood at the far
side.

OLIVER
Ok, no one here.

MAT
Someone was here.

OLIVER
True.

MAT
Recently as well.

OLIVER
Ok you look over there, ill look
over here.

MAT (O.C.)
And what are we looking for
exactly?

OLIVER
Anything of interest, not sure
really, but you never know.

MAT
Ok.

INT. WARDROBE

MAT
Wow, these cloths are years old,
but recent that's all there is
here. Well apart from papers and
mags.

He checks, most are recent or older, nothing of interest.

Mark turns to see him staring at the dresser,

Room dims slightly as he moves towards Oliver

Both look into the mirror

MAT
(whispers)
Wow

Through the mirror they see a woman, back to them on other side
of bed. She walks slowly around the bed

MAT (CONT’D)
She was standing near me.

wives.

MAT

She looks like a witch with that
hat.

She knows we here.

The ghost looks at them, a fear on her face.

MAT

MAT

WOMAN SPIRIT
(mimes shout)
Get out, get out now.

MAT

I think she telling us to get
out.

OLIVER
(low voice)
Who are you.

WOMAN SPIRIT
(tear in eye)
Leave now.

They stood as they watched her disappear; coldness came over as

though it passed over them, Oliver looked around but saw
nothing.

OLIVER
Think she gone.

MAT
The rooms warming up.

A banging noise startled the boys, they face the door.

What was that?.

MAT
Sound like some one banging on a
table with a hammer.

OLIVER
I hear footsteps.

MAT
Maybe the others.

OLIVER
No.

MAT
Um maybe the woman hasn't left
after all.

OLIVER
She wants us to leave, come lets
follow the noise.

MAT
(low voice)
I knew you were going to say
that.

A loud banging noise came from outside the room and as though
they where being ordered to leave. They made a quick exit,
following the sounds.

INT. HALLWAY

OLIVER
Which way now

MAT
This way

FADE OUT.

INT. DOWNSTAIRS HALLWAY - MOMENTS LATER

They followed the corridor behind the steps to another room. As

they approached the door they heard the sound of music.

LIAM
You hear that?

MARK
Yea, nice taste.
(MORE)
LIAM
Yea, well its coming from that
room.

(pause)
Shall we?

MARK
After what happened in the
kitchen, Im ready.

INT. LIVING ROOM - CONTINUOUS

THE LIVING ROOM WAS NOT AS BAD COMPARED TO THE OTHERS, A LIGHT
WAS COMING FROM THE LAMPSHADE. IN THE CENTRE WAS 2 LARGE ARM
CHAIRS; A LARGE FIREPLACE WITH A CABINET ON EITHER SIDE,

When they enter they are met with and overwhelming smell

LIAM
Urgh, that horrible, what is it?

MARK
Cigarette smoke.

LIAM
That's not cigarettes.

MARK
Pipe, that's how they used to
smoke it that time. There's other
smells here.

LIAM
Perfume again.
(pause)
Where the music coming from.

MARK
From the player, looks old and
broken.

LIAM
Goes with everything else.

MARK
Well who ever was here certainly
likes classical music.

LIAM
True and it certainly smokes
alot, disgusting.

They looked round the room at the shelves of books, pictures,

ornaments and old furniture.

INT. LIVING ROOM - NEAR FIREPLACE

MARK
Wonder who it is that smokes?

LIAM (O.C.)
Its Crane

MARK
How you know

LIAM (O.C.)
Because he here

Mark looked round and saw Liam looking at the chair.

Just poking above the top you could make out the top of
someone’s head, they could see the outline of a pipe, puffs of
smoke came up and now and then, the chair creaked as the spirit
fidgeted.

It was then Liam started to move closer and around the chair.

Mark walks closer to Liam

MARK
(nervously)
What you doing?

LIAM
(low voice)
Looking.

MARK
(whispers)
Your crazy.

It was then the chair moved and started to turn meeting Liam, he
saw the faint image of Crane, looking at him, Liam looked
onwards.

LIAM
(nervously)
Are you Crane?

Crane did a slight node and eyes closed and opened as in

response.

LIAM (CONT’D)
Is Jake here?

The spirit looked on, lowered the pipe and looked at him, he
seemed to get closer and again acknowledged, and this time he
added words.

CRANE
He knows what you come for.

LIAM
Where is he?

CRANE
(Crane lowered back)
In the locked room, where else.

His image faded a little

MARK
You know who we are?

Again, he responded with a nod,

CRANE
(towards mark)
Be carefull Galahad is also
waiting?

LIAM MARK
Who Who

Crane looked at them puzzled.

CRANE (CONT’D)
(fading)
They have teamed up, you are not
safe, time to get out?

LIAM
Waite, who is Galahad and who is
Jake really?

Cranes spirit simmered for a while, his deathly eyes looked on

into Liam as though checking him out.

CRANE
One is the demon, the other is
the lost child. Jake has already
taken his place, Galahad is
waiting for his. Make the choice
as only one of the three will
leave here alive.

The faint image rose up out of the chair.

MARK
Wait. You know a boy name Zack
and what happened here?

CRANE
Yes, he is here as well. I know
all that goes on here.

and left in a mist.

MARK
Well that really helped.

LIAM
We know more than we did before.

MARK
Like what?

LIAM
The child found in that room, was
the body that Jake had when
alive. Jake is the name of a
demon.

MARK
And Gallahad?

LIAM
The lost child, A ghost child
trapped in the spirit world,
playing with Jake.

MARK
What he mean only one will leave?

LIAM
(in thought)
I’m not sure.

Mark looked at him, he felt a strange feeling, Liam looked at

his brother, both stood for a while

LIAM (CONT’D)
One is the child that will
possess, only you may never know
when, if it leaves the other will
die.

Liam broke his glanced and they looked round the now dark room,

INT. LIVING ROOM - NEAR OPEN DOOR

Liam started to make his way out,

MARK
Jake must have possesed Zack.

LIAM
Yea, and now he trapped here.

MARK
I think its happening again, what
happend back then is happening
now.

LIAM
There playing with us, hell let
Gallahad play first then strike
himself.

Mark followed unsure as to what he should do next, his mind was

already confused with past images, starving his knowledge. He
knew they where in danger and what ever happened with Zack was
already happening here.

HE SAW A DARK SHADOW OF A BOY PASSING THE DOORWAY THAT LIAM HAD
GONE THROUGH; HE HEARD LIAM SHOUT AND A CRASH.

CUT TO:

INT. HALLWAY - SIDE OF STEPS

Mark followed the sounds and ran to Liam who was on the floor
near broken ornaments from a toppled over side table. Mark
placed a hand on his shoulder and felt coldness.

MARK
Liam, Liam, you ok?

Liam looked up, at first dazed then he looked at Mark as though

he was scanning him.

LIAM
I fine.

MARK
Come let’s go into this room and
sit down a while.

FADE OUT.

INT. UPSTAIRS HALLWAY

OLIVER AND MAT CONTINUED ALONG THE CORRIDOOR.

Oliver felt hot, tired and needed a drink.

MAT

Mat helped him to stand and decided to push him through the door
hoping that it would help

As the door flung open they fell into a room

INT. SPARE BEDROOM

The room was caked in dust and cobwebs.

Thanks, next time just take me
through the door, not like a
battering ram?

MAT
Sorry, I thought if something was
attached to you it would leave if
made a quick move.

OLIVER
Fair enough, think it may have
worked.

Mat looked around as they sat on the bed, the room was medium
size, with a double bed, a side cabinet and closet, there was a
door near the corner and was slightly open and he could make out
a sink. They approached the room

MAT
Come, I think that's a bathroom,
see if you can cool down there.

OLIVER
Stop, What was that?

MAT
It was a cold breeze, maybe the
windows open.

OLIVER
(looking curious at mat)
Ok, lets just get water.

INT. SPARE BEDROOM - BATHROOM

Mat tried the taps, dirty water ran from the tap, after a while
it became clear, they filled the basin with cold water and
Oliver placed his hand in and washed his face to cool himself
down.

All of a sudden coldness came on to the back of his neck,

OLIVER
Is that you Mat?

MAT (O.C.)
Is what me.

OLIVER
Somethings standing behind me.

MAT
Its not me.

Suddenly something pushed Oliver’s head under water, after a

little struggle he managed to get his hands on either side of
the sink and force his head up, but the force came down again.

Then it went warm Oliver waited and stood in shock looking into
the mirror at his water drenched face, he saw marks on forehead
that looked like finger prints, a dark mist swept pass and he
looked at Mat who stood unknown what to do.

MAT (CONT’D)
You ok?

OLIVER
I’m fine, where were you?

MAT
Here, but I was frozen, something
was holding me down, it then
flung me to the wall, I couldn’t
help, honest.

Oliver turned looked at the murky water, looked at the mirror

and turned, he walked to Mat, placed a hand on shoulder

OLIVER
Its ok, at least we OK, come I
think its time we checked the
locked room.

MAT
Are you saw you want to?

OLIVER
Its been testing us, we alive so
we must be ready.

INT. SPARE BEDROOM

They walked into the bed room where they found trail of tobacco
along the floor and cigarettes where snapped in half and
scattered around the floor.

OLIVER
Crane been here, though it wasn’t
crane who did that.

MAT
He may have stopped who ever it
was.

OLIVER
Maybe, but he has no reason to do
so, I think It was Jake and
something else that was in the
bathroom.

Galahad.

OLIVER
No, there are two spirits here,
Jake and another demon.

MAT
Where does Galahad come into
this?

OLIVER
Not sure, but I know one thing.

MAT
What’s that?

OLIVER
Its waiting.

INT. UPSTAIRS HALLWAY

Mat thought as they left the room and headed for the locked room

BACK TO:

INT. DOWNSTAIRS - DINING ROOM -

LIAM AND MARK SAT IN THE ROOM, AFTER GAINING THERE BEARINGS THEY
LOOKED AROUND.

THE WALLS WHERE LINED WITH CABINETS, SHELVES AND CUPBOARDS, A

SMALL TABLE STOOD NEAR THE WALL WITH A LARGE MIRROR.

LIAM
I’m Ok now, where are we?

Mark started searching, then at the table.

MARK
Is it me or can you smell fresh
food?

LIAM
I can smell it, hear noises as
well?

MARK
Footsteps, Ill look round?

LIAM
Ok, Ill check here

Looking around Mark was being drawn to the mirror, yet as he

walked closer the room seemed to dim as though it was focusing
on him and he was focusing on the mirror.

The mirror was large enough so he saw his top half as well as
the room.

MIRROR VIEW/FX - WILL SEE REFLECTION OF ROOM, WHICH WILL SLOWLY

MERGE WITH PAST VIEW OF ROOM. ALSO WILL SHOW GALLAHAD NOT LIAM

MARK
(whisper to himself)
Wait a min., that's not liam.

He noticed something odd in the background.

He slowly turns to check where liam is realising he was in same

place. He looks back, he double-checked again, but stops when he
noticed the boy was looking at him, still facing the mirror he
lowered his head slightly as to loose contact.

Through Liam’s voice the boy spoke,

LIAM
What’s up?

MARK
Not sure.

Not fully turning around, he stood ridged and looked harder into
the mirror.

LIAM
What do you see?
(pause)
you want me to look?

MARK
Wait there.

He closed his eyes, cleared his mind and opened them looking at
the mirror and the background.

MARK (CONT’D)
(low voice)
I think I’m looking into the past

A tall figure appeared as his image melted into the changing

image, he watched as history was played before him.

Zack enters the room, slightly dazed and sat at the table, a few
seconds later another boy entered the room and Zack looks up, he
noticed it was Kyle coming towards him, both sat at table.

ZACK
Hi Kyle, where’s Steve, I thought
he was with you.

KYLE
(hesitates)
We got separated.

looking around.

KYLE (CONT’D)
Where the others.

there was a slight pause as Zack looked at him then the door.

ZACK
It was weird; we where coming
down the stairs to this room, we
felt something and it was like a
quick flashback of me on the
stairs with a man. We looked down
to the bottom of the stairs,
there was a body of a woman on
the first step, she was dead, yet
I noticed her from the picture in
here.
I looked at the man and our eyes
made contact, he whispered a name
and then he blew his pipe smoke
into my face.
When I got my bearings I was
standing out side this room, I
just entered and sat down, I
realised the others where not
with me.

he looked up and noticed Kyle had moved towards a mirror, Kyle

stood near the mirror, turned and looked at Zack, walking
closer.

KYLE
What was name he whispered?

ZACK
(head lowered)
We have to find the others, I
think we in danger.

KYLE
(serious demanding)
OK, but what was the name?

Zack looking up he noticed Kyle’s eyes where fixed with

seriousness.

ZACK
Why you looking in that way, it
not matter anyway.

HE GOT UP AND FOR SOME REASON HE WALKED TO THE MIRROR.

INT. DINING ROOM - MIRROR - PAST

ZACKS LOOKS THROUGH, A CONFUSED YET FEARED LOOK ON FACE, AS

THOUGH HE REALIZES SOMETHING, HE PLACES HAND ON MIRROR.

INT. END OF FLASHBACK SEQ

INT. DINING ROOM - MIRROR - PRESENT - CONTINUOUS

When he removed it he saw Liam staring at him; he turned and

faced Liam looking into his eyes.

He saw Liam and knew it was Liam, but his already messed up
conscious was telling him otherwise as though it was piecing all
the clues together

LIAM
(sounding unsure)
We should get going?

He walked towards the door.

INT. DINING ROOM NEAR DOOR

MARK
(unsure)
Yea, maybe we should find the
others.

Walks towards Liam and stops, Liam stops shortly after sensing
no movement, turns and looks at Mark

LIAM
You Ok?

MARK
(nervous)
Yea I’m fine.
(hesitates)
I Think I’m starting to remember.

Liam looked on as if what ever he had planed had failed or was

working.

Mark felt fear creep on, his conscious was wanting answered.
Mark turned and looked at the mirror once again.

MARK (CONT’D)
The mirror, that's what happened
to Zack, this room, something
about this room.

LIAM
(slight seriousness)
What about the room?

MARK
It was Jake, Jake took Zack when
he was in here, it wasn't Kyle
who came in, it was Jake. You
said, you asked the same thing he
wanted to know.

LIAM/JAKE
(looks a way then back)
So, what was the name he
whispered.

MARK
He had to know the name, its the
only way to appear, if someone
called his name....
(pauses)
Zack did, but why.

LIAM
What.

Walks to mirror.

INT. DINING ROOM - MIRROR - PRESENT

MARK
The mirror, it was telling me the
truth, first I wasn't ready, now
I am.

LIAM
Ready for what?

LIAM/JAKE
(serious, darker)

He turned and saw Liam near the door as though blocking him Mark
walked over to the table.

INT. DINING ROOM TABLE

Without realising, picked up the candlestick,

FX - Quick glance to candle stick in dream state

The same one as in his dreams; he looked at Liam who returned

with an emptiness stare.

LIAM/JAKE
(Darker demanding)
What was the name he whispered?

It was then Mark turned and threw the stick crashing into the
mirror and shattering it into small pieces.

GALAHAD (O.C.)
(echo)
Noooo.

MARK
I will not say the name.

INT. DINING ROOM - CONTINUOUS

A GRAVEYARD HORROR LOOK

LIGHTS FLASHED BEFORE HIS AS THE ROOM STILL FADED TO DARKNESS,

CRIES AND WORDS ECHOED THROUGH THE ROOM, A MIST FILLED THE ROOM
WITH SMELL OF ROTTEN FLESH, HE SAW A BOY STANDING BEFORE HIM, A
SLIGHT DEMON FACE YET SOMETHING ELSE.

GALAHAD
Welcome, I wanted to help.

MARK
You took Zack, the same way you
were about to take me, mentioning
your name I would be under your
control.

GALAHAD
No, It was Jake who came into the
room, It was Jake who asked the
name, But I took Zacks sole away
from him.

MARK
But why did Zack say his name to
the mirror.

GALAHAD
This is my hell, it was the only
way to warn you, for I knew you
come. Then I shall appear.

MARK
I not understand?

GALAHAD
(laughs)

MARK
Why you with Jake, you can leave
this place?

GALAHAD
Why should I, its home, he
protects me from those who seek.

MARK
We will get out, we will free
Zack, Liam and others, destroy
Jake.

GALAHAD
There's one problem.

MARK

Galahad disappeared into the mist and as he faded he saw Zack

walking from the mirror with the Candle stick he held his arm
towards Mark and whispers

ZACK
Find Liam fast for Jake is
gaining his strength.

MARK
What about you?

ZACK
Its too late for me, I’m here to
eternity, but you have a chance.

MARK
Waite what do you know of
Galahad?

ZACK
An innocent child accused of
evil, full of rage and peace,
trust is not a word but a
betrayal to him. No not be afraid
of him, helpful he may be but
never trust him.

He turned and saw Jake, Mark followed his glance, another child
with a demon face stood before them, yet an mist image.

ZACK (CONT’D)
He is not real, but you must
challenge it.

He took the stick and charged towards the door, through a mist
of a figure, as he reached for the door he saw a flash of light
then a hard wooden floor met him as he landed face down.

INT. DINING ROOM - PRESENT

He gained his bearings and looked around, all was normal, the
candlestick sat in the centre of the table caked in cobwebs, he
turned and saw the mirror fully intact. He walked towards it.

INT. DINING ROOM - MIRROR - PRESENT

He looked through, he saw the room, himself, and nothing else,

he also felt a alone.

MARK
(whispers to himself)
Jake took liam in the corridor,
Galahad took his place, he knew
what would happen.
(pause)
Gallahad, if you are innocent,
prove it to me and take me to
Liam?

He felt a presence turning he saw a glimpse of a boy, yet it was

neither Jake nor Liam yet it disappeared into the darkness. He
walked out.

INT. HALLWAY - FACING STAIRS - CONTINUOUS

He saw the shadow go towards the upper floor; he also heard

Zacks last whisper.

ZACK (O.S.)
No not be afraid of him, helpful
he may be but never trust him

He followed upstairs.

FADE TO:

UPSTAIRS HALLWAY

INT. CORRIDOOR - DARK

MAT AND OLIVER WALKED TOWARDS THE DOOR, THEY HESITATED AS HE

REACHED FOR THE HANDLE. OLIVER THEN LOOKED DOWN, TURNED TO MAT
SHINING HIS LIGHT.

OLIVER
This house has so much history
and so many tragedies, it’s
impossible to say what’s going on
here. We wanted the truth, which
I think is bigger than expected.

MAT
What you mean many things.

OLIVER
Crane for starters killed his
first two wives. His third wife
outlives him, he angry so his
spirit returns to finish the job,
you see when she died blood was
everywhere, there was no force
entry, if it was a robber, then
he was already in the house and
he never left.

MAT
Wow, so his wives spirits must be
here, maybe that’s the one we saw
in the mirror.

OLIVER
yea, I think. But then you have
that family, who were
mysteriously killed, not to
mention the child in the locked
room.

MAT
You said there may be bodies
here, uncovered.
(MORE)
OLIVER
That’s just speculation, another
story.

OLIVER(CONT'D)
Not sure if it’s true, like I
said many things have happened
here, more than what reported.
Something happened between Crane
and the family, or before the
house.

MAT
So who is Jake and Galahad?

OLIVER
I don’t know, all could find was
the name Jake, a demon. Galahad
was a real child, his mischief
gets him into trouble, and one
day he disappeared. Maybe the
child they found in this room was
Galahad. Both are evil both doing
there own thing.

MAT
I starting to wonder why we came.

OLIVER
It’s the only way to stop Marks
Nightmares; we need to find the
truth.

MAT
At a price
(pause)
Wait, what if that’s not really
Liam down there, what if it was
Jake or Galahad making us come
here.

OLIVER
As far as I know it’s them down
there, but Jake can appear the
image of any of us.

MAT
What happens if this is a trap?

OLIVER
I realised that, but Mark will go
insane from the thoughts that are
haunting him, we have to release
them.

MAT
Now I am afraid.
(MORE)

(laughs looks at mark

You should be, there’s a chance
that I’m wrong and its Jake
downstairs and Liam’s behind that
door, I’m just hoping my plan
will work.

MAT
What plan?

OLIVER
That all 3 cannot exist in the
same time line, if its Jake
downstairs then his soul will
disappear when they meet, they
will become one, Galahad’s spirit
will also be released and Liam or
Mark will be free from Jake.

MAT
What if we the ones possed?

OLIVER
(laughs shakes head)
No, you would know by now.

MAT
Look, there’s a light on.

They looked down and saw a bright light emitting from the
cracks.

OLIVER
Lets go in.

MAT
We supposed to wait for the
others.

OLIVER
I know but I think its already
too late, we need to enter.

As Oliver went to grasp the handle the door opened, a bright

light met them,

INT. LOCKED ROOM - CONTINUOUS

As they entered they saw the outline of a boy.

The room was candle lit. Old drawings where etched onto the
walls, new drawing had been written, although most where people
there were pictures of houses, monsters, they also noticed words
written a number of times on the floor and walls.

The room was circular with a pointed ceiling. A Table was in the
middle, laid out like a kid’s picnic.

The boy stood at the table with his back towards them, he was in
the shadows so they could not see his face or anything, just a
faded shadow.

They shielded themself from an unknown bright light, a few

seconds after they entered the door slammed shut behind them,
the light dimmed.

DEM0N
You finally come?

OLIVER
Yes.

DEM0N
Where the others?

OLIVER
Somewhere.

DEM0N
You came to find the truth, just
like the ones before you.

OLIVER
What did you do to Zack?

DEM0N
(echoed laughter)
I not do anything, he was lost
with the many that reside here,
another time.

OLIVER
(whisper to mat)
I think it’s a trap after all.
(loud to demon)
Mark has already worked out
what’s happening, the more he
does the more greater Liam will
be able to resist.

DEM0N
Your plan will not work, you may
have worked out what’s happening,
but there something you have
missed, by bringing Liam here you
have completed the link.

OLIVER
(confused look)
I not understand, you wont kill
us?

laughs, Kill, I had no intention
of killing anyone, I just want to

MAT

your Galahad?

DEM0N
I am Galahad; I was the one who
stopped Jake from Killing Zack.

OLIVER
(whispers)
Now we are alone, hope they come
soon.

Mat looked at Oliver and then at the boy

MAT
If your Galahad then you can
release us, you sent the dreams
didn’t you?

DEM0N
(Reacts as though not know
anything)
It was Zack who sent those dreams

OLIVER
We will know the truth, stop you
and free all those you have
touched, he shall come and you
will be released.

DEM0N

The room became colder and another mist appeared to the side

OLIVER
You are Jake, Galahad protected
Zack from you and that’s what he
doing now with us
(pause)

OLIVER (CONT’D)
Galahad knows the truth, for your
question where here to save Liam
and Mark.

(laughs)

out.

MAT

(laughs short)

He turned and walked into the light, they gasped as they saw his
face.

CAMERA BACKWARDS TILL REACH MARK

A screamed echoed through the house

INT. UPSTAIRS HALLWAY - TOP OF STAIRS - MOMENTS LATER

At the top of the stairs Mark turned and entered the corridor,
he heard a noise and a child voice.

INT. CORRIDOOR - DARK

He made his way towards the door.

INT. LOCKED ROOM

The door opened before him and the bright light met his. He saw
the outline of a boy and then the light faded as the door
slammed shut. As his eyes adjusted to the candle light and
darkness, he saw Oliver and Mark standing in front of him.

It was then a strike of fear and loneliness attacked him like a

base ball bat in the stomach, he felt sick, he looked up at
there faces.

MARK
What’s happening.

He looks and realizes that there was shock on there face, but
there was something else, something was missing. It was then he
heard Liam’s voice at the same time coldness swept in.

Oliver knelt down and placed an arm on his shoulder.

OLIVER
Where’s Liam?

Although he already knew the answer.

MARK
I don’t know, I saw a shadow and
we ended up in the dining room.
(hesitates)
The mirror.
I saw Zack.

MAT
What, where is he?

MARK
Galahad protected him from Jake,
only for a price, he trapped,
dead. Galahad the one who been
playing with us, Jake took Liam.

MAT
We know.

Mark looked at him the Oliver.

MARK
What you mean.

They stand up and turn sideways, with Mark looking between

Oliver and Mat towards another figure, He sees Liam, though at
this moment he just a dark figure.

MARK (CONT’D)
(nervously)
Liam.

Liam turns and looks at Mark. Walks into the light. Mark sees
Liam Possed by Jake, his clothes are stained with blood from the
wounds on his arms, legs and head. His blond hair minced with
dry blood and black, his faced scared and cracked, his teeth
shattered and pointed, he moves forward.

ROOM VIEW - HOUSE SHAKES

MAT
What’s happening?

OLIVER
There coming.

MAT
Who?

MARK
The others.

OLIVER
Its getting cold.
(pause)
Can you small tabbaco?

MARK
Yea, Its Crane.

OLIVER
There here but not appearing.

MARK
Didn’t realise this was a
spectators fight.

OLIVER
You need to make the move or we
will loose him.
(pause)

OLIVER (CONT’D)
Its now just us.

MARK
Oliver, it was Crane’s wife who
was sending me those dreams, he
lives here, he wants rid of the
evil the shares this house.

MAT
I wouldn’t bet on that.

MARK
I seen Crane, I know now, he was
afraid of them when he said there
names, it was as though he was
expecting us.

MAT
Ok, so what now?

Looks into Jake’s eyes

MARK
(hesitates)
Galahad, help us

ROOM VIEW SHAKING, PICTURES FALL OF WALL, THE PLASTER STARTS TO

CRUMBLE

JAKE/LIAM
Noooo.
(growls)

Jake lowers his head. A ball of light shines and electric sparks
hit Jake, anther figure appears and both Galahad and Jake
collided.

A force sends him into the air and slams him to the floor.

We see Liam rise from Jake’s body. Liam reached out. Another
growl. Liams eyes are red and features change to Jake as Jake
retains the body.

JAKE
Galahad may have given you a
chance, but you will never free
Liam, now he gone from here I can
finally take what is mine.

Mark suddenly realises the truth hitting him hard

MARK
(shouted)
Noooo.

Jake battles with his own conscious, conscious of Liam.

Mark and Oliver see that they are fighting but feel helpless

MARK (CONT’D)
Oliver, what can we do?

OLIVER
I not know, I thought Galahad
would help.

A sinister laughter comes from side of the room;

MAT
That smell again.

OLIVER
What smell?

MAT
Tobbaco, Crane near me I feel him
breathing.

CRANE
(whispers)
He may be helpful but he is a
demon himself, brother.

Mat looked at Jake, that at Mark.

MAT
Tell him?

MARK
Tell him what.

MAT
How much Liam means to you, for
he is brother of Galahad.

Hearing this Jake responded

JAKE
Nooo, he may be my brother but he
no longer part of me, he no
longer.

without each other, that’s why
you possessed Liam, he looks like
your brother when you was alive,

Jakes mind began to split, he growls and shreds many words in

anger, and there was another sound as Galahad states his mark

ROOM VIEW SHAKING VIOLENTLY, EVERYTHING TOSSED AROUND, THIS

CONTINUES THROUGH THE LAST FEW SCENES

Mark looks through the chaos. Sees Liam lying on the floor. He
goes over recognises him

MARK (CONT’D)
Liam, Liam you ok?

LIAM
Mark, Im ok.

MARK
Come lets get out.

Helps him out

MAT
Lets go.
(Slight Pauses)
get out now?

INT. DARK CORRIDOOR - DARK

DEBRIS FALLING AND MOVES VIOLENTLY

The others follow, Oliver turns to Mat as the room topples them
over and debris fall

Mat yells as debris crashed on him.

Oliver helps and both catch up with others

INT. UPSTAIRS HALLWAY - TOP OF STAIRS - CONTINUOUS

DOORS OPENING AND SLAMMING SHUT, CHILD CRIES AND WOMAN SCREAMS
HEARD.

Liam gains his bearings and stands alone.

MAT
Come on, we got to keep moving.

OLIVER
Easy for you to say.

INT. STAIRS - SHAKING

They make there way downstairs.

MAKING THERE WAY DOWNSTAIRS, SOMEONE YELLING AND VOICES FROM THE
KITCHEN, FOOTSTEPS ALSO HEARD.

MAT
Look.

Point at ghostly figure coming from the kitchen.

MARK
Move quick, now.

LIAM
Argh.

INT. HALLWAY - FACING STAIRS

Liam is pushed, he lands on the floor and debris fell on him,

the others helped but where blown away by a force landing in all
areas of the foyer, debris fall again.

INT. FOYER

HOUSE STILL, FULL VIEW OF MESS IN FOYER, DUST CLEARS, SHOT OF

EACH PERSON

As they gain conscious, bearings and look for each other through
the clouds of dust and a blanket of debris,

Mark gains his bearings and removes the derbies. He finds Mat
and Oliver, but they can not see Liam.

They see a shadow of a boy at the top of the staircase. He looks

to his right as though hinting where Liam is. Oliver goes over
and removes the debris, Mat helps.

They find Liam crouched, coughing from the dust. They pull him
out and stand in centre of foyer

LIAM
Look.
(pointing to kitchen)

They saw the boy had reappeared at the top of the basement, as
though wanting them to follow he went into the darkness of the
cellar. The others looked on then at each other

MAT
I think he wants us to follow.

MARK
Helpful he may be, but never
trust him.

OLIVER
What?

MARK
That’s what Zack said.

LIAM
Lets go.

MAT
What about the basement.

LIAM
Thats for another time.

OLIVER
Ill go with that.

They leave hawthorn house. A childs cry is heard...
