LTD PRESENTS
I AM
DIRECTED BY ONIR
(Project Overview)
Anticlock films pvt.ltd “I AM” is an initiative taken by film director Onir and actor Sanjay Suri to
make films with a vision to use the medium of mainstream sensible commercial films to spread
awareness and develop a culture of watching content oriented cinema.
Five short films are to be directed by Onir. Each about 20 minutes long with an unique never
before told stories with five different music director’s. The five short films have the common theme
of Fear and have characters moving in and out of one short into another thus linking them in terms
of content and structure. The short films collectively will be called I AM.
With this project we hope to bring in another dimension to independent cinema in India. The
project offers the scope to different co-producers to partly co-produce any short film with the
producers. We believe that independent cinema exists to give a voice to those working against the
tide and outside the system. We vision is to release each film for educational/awareness/festival
purposes and eventually compile all five short films into one full length film which shall be released
for the general audiences.
Each short will feature one known actor/actress and one or more new comers. All films will be
stylized and slick providing not only a good buzz by its content but also because of its ensemble
talent.
FIVE STORIES… ONE FILM… “I AM”
a film defining Identity.
I AM
DIRECTED BY ONIR
We are writing to you with regards to a short film we are making called MEGHA, the story of a Kashmiri
Pandit woman who has to go back to Kashmir after 20 years and confront her past, in a land were not
much has changed.
Since the end of 1989, 300,000 Kashmiri Pundits, constituting 99% of the total population of Hindus
living in Muslim majority area of the Kashmir Valley, were forcibly pushed out of the Valley by Muslim
terrorists. They have been forced to live the life of exiles in their own country, outside their homeland, by
unleashing a systematic campaign of terror, murder, loot and arson.
The Jammu and Kashmir Government, Government of India and the leading International Human Rights
Organizations have failed squarely to protect the Kashmiri Pundits against Islamic terrorism.
Megha is a story of two women separated by circumstances. A Kashmiri Pandit woman (Megha) who had
to abandon her own home and became a part of the neglected statistics of an internal refugee and a
muslim woman (Rubina) who stayed in the valley were the dark clouds of fear and repression stayed
forever.

We believe that independent cinema exists to give a voice to those working against the tide and outside the
system. MEGHA is one of five short films directed by Onir to tackle important issues ignored by
mainstream Indian cinema. Our idea is to release each film for educational/awareness/festival purposes
and eventually compile all five short films into one release for the general audiences.
These topics are too important to let slide into the shadows. We at Anticlock Films call upon individuals,
corporate houses, and NGOs who share in our indignation to join our cause in shedding light upon such
daily tragedies. We want this project to be a completely independent, community endeavor free from
studio criteria like star-power and opening weekend sales. This is a movement towards cinema that has
content- entertains by way of enriching oneself.
We at ANTICLOCK FILMS offer you an opportunity to be a part of a process of the making of a film, to
be a part owner of a film. You can do this my contributing monetarily for the making of the film. To that
end, we’ve established three different ways to help:
• Rs 1000 to Rs 5000 – Students category. Acknowledgement on the website and the end credits.
(Treated as donation)
• Rs 25,000 to Rs 100,000 – Return of your contribution at the time of the final film release and
acknowledgement in the end credits
Please spread word and help support a film that wants to make a difference. Thank you.

I AM ABHIMANYU
The Ministry of Women and Child Development, Govt of India, Prayas and UNICEF, 2007 reported
that out of 12,447 children (hailing from all strata of society), 53% reported sexual abuse. Out of
12,447 children, 21% reported severe sexual abuse. Sadly, most of these incidents are never
reported and innocent victims are forced to suffer in silence. The brave few that do come forward
are woefully underserved by a society that prefers to look away and a legal system that doesn’t
care.
I AM ABHIMANYU is one of five short films addressing an important issue ignored by mainstream
Indian cinema. It is the story of a child abuse survivor inspired by the true story of Harish Iyer and
his struggle to reclaim his own shattered identity after 11 long years of abuse.

The film is important as it highlights the struggle of an individual against a corrupt yet powerful
organisation. It is most unfortunate, when the very people who pretend to be our saviours, wrong us.
We believe that independent cinema exists to provide a voice for those that are working against the tide
and outside the system. AFIA is one of five short films directed by Onir, which tackles important issues
ignored by the mainstream Indian cinema.
The idea is to release each film for educational/awareness/festival purposes and eventually compile all five
