Special Issue on VLSI Technology for Bioinformatics and Biomedical Applications

Call for Papers
VLSI technology is widely adopted nowadays for ecient management and analysis of biological datasets by highperformance data mining, interpretation, classication, and simulations thereof. The VLSI systems and platforms are in widespread use in medical practices to improve healthcare diagnosis, monitoring, and therapy. These applications are in the general benet to the human being. We are actively calling for original contributions to this special issue. This special issue will be focused on the crossfertilization between computational science and bioengineering. VLSI design, verication, test, manufacturing, and automation techniques for applications such as biomedical signal processing, biomedical imaging, neural and rehabilitation engineering, brain-machine interface, cardiovascular and respiratory systems engineering, telemedicine, cellular and tissue engineering, biomedical sensors, robotics, radiology, and genomics and clinical engineering are to be explored in this special issue. Hardware-based accelerators or dedicated processors that can largely facilitate the computational processes of these applications are of particular interest. The intended coverage of the special issue can be assessed by examining the following list of potential topics. Potential topics include, but are not limited:
