CAMD Test I 3rd Sem B Section

08-11-2013 Time: 11:05 AM Max Marks: 30 Q 1) A cone of base diameter 50mm and axis length 65 mm rests with its base on the HP. Draw the true shape of section made by a section plane perpendicular to VP and inclined to HP at 50 and passing through an end point on the circumference of the base circle of the cone. OR An equilateral triangular pyramid of 30 mm side of base and axis 60 mm long rests with its base on HP such that one of the base edges is inclined at 45 to the VP and nearer to it. It is cut by a section plane inclined at 60 to the HP and perpendicular to VP, intersecting the axis at 40mm from the vertex. Draw the front view, sectional views looking from the top and right side along with the cut solid. Also project the true shape of section. Q 2) Pictorial view of an object is shown in Fig 1. Draw the following views of the object. The 20 mm hole is a through hole: ( i) Front view looking in the direction F. (ii) Right view in section SS looking in the direction R. (iii) Top view looking in the direction T. OR Pictorial view of a machine part is shown in Fig 2. Draw the following views: (i) Front view in section AA. (ii) Left view. (iii) Top view. Two webs of 10 mm thick are provided on both the sides. All unmentioned fillets are radiused to R 2.5.
