University School of Law in 2005. He received
his Ph.D. and M.S., both in electrical
engineering, from the University of Notre Dame
in 2001 and 1998, respectively. Me. He received

University, China in 1995.

Profile: Louis Ho
Louis Ho assumed his position as Director, New
York Office, Hong Kong Trade Development
Council (HKTDC) in 2001 following a career with
HKTDC that spans more than 20 years. Early in
his career, Mr. Ho managed HKTDC's
promotional activities in emerging markets
including the Middle East, Africa and Latin
America.

Mr. Ho has worked in HKTDC offices in London,


Miami, Tokyo and Hong Kong. As Director, Japan
he developed and implemented trade strategies
between Hong Kong and Japan.

Mr. Ho earned his BBA from Gonzaga University


in Spokane, Wash. and attended the Harvard
Business School Executive Program in Hong
Kong.

Economic Development Corporation, Chairperson

Ms. Jao hails from Washington DC metro,


daughter of an elected regional business leader
and an award-winning published Professor of
Chinese Linguistics and Classics. Ms. Jao was a
Pre-Law major at the University of Wisconsin-
Madison, where she earned a B.A. in
International Relations, Political Science and
English. She has completed professional studies
in Information Technology at New York
University and Columbia University, and has an
M.S. in Policy Development/ Global Commerce
Management from the University of Maryland.

Ms. Jao is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, a


classically trained pianist and former amateur
bodybuilder and student of martial arts. Ms. Jao
is based in New York City and travels
frequently. She is the founder of a number of
international and regional social and professional
networking clubs.
