STAFF SELECTION COMMISSION C-1/2 Section Subject:Recruitment of Constable (GD) in CAPFs and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles, 2013

Result for Male Candidates to be called for Medical Examination.

An open competitive examination for recruitment to the posts of Constables (GD) in CAPFs & Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles, 2013 was held on 12.05.2013 for the candidates who qualified in PET/PST at different centres across the country. 2. In the above examination 7,14,211 candidates (both male and female) were registered from different regions and 6,76,358 actually appeared in this examination. 3. Commission has placed on website the answer keys of different Question Booklets used in the above examination inviting representation from the candidates. Representations received in this regard have been carefully examined and modified answer keys, wherever their representations were found to be genuine, were used for evaluation. 4. As per the scheme of the Recruitment, the minimum cut off percentage marks in the written examination is 33% for SC, ST and OBC candidates and 35% for UR and Ex-servicemen candidates. 5. Considering the vacancies reserved for different States including those for Naxal/Militancy affected districts within the States and vacancies reserved for Border Districts, Commission has decided to release the following three separate lists for the Male candidates to be called for Detailed Medical Examination (DME):

List I :

Male Candidates qualified against State-wise vacancies

List II : Additional Male candidates qualified against vacancies reserved for Naxal/Militancy affected Districts (at a lower cut-off) List III : Additional Male candidates qualified against vacancies reserved for Border Districts (at a lower cut-off) 6. List I: Male Candidates qualified against State-wise vacancies

Keeping in view the tentative vacancies in each State/UTs, Commission has fixed the cut-off in the following manner for Male candidates:(i) 1:4 ratio (Vacancies to candidates) approximately subject to minimum of 10 candidates in respective category, and (ii) Minimum cut-off of 35 for UR/Ex.S and 33 for OBC/SC/ST State Code STATE/UTs UR OBC CUT-OFF SC ST Ex.S

Accordingly, 62,530 Male candidates qualify for Medical Examination against State-wise vacancies. State-wise and category-wise break-up of the qualifying candidates is as below:

In the following 8 States, cut-off as in List-I will be applicable for List-II also :1. Jammu & Kashmir* 2. Manipur* 3. Meghalaya* 4. Mizoram* 5. Nagaland* 6. Arunachal Pradesh* 7. Assam* 8. Tripura* (*Entire State has been declared as Naxal/Militancy affected area for this purpose)

All the Candidates qualified in List-I in the States in North-Eastern Region and J&K, will be considered for vacancies reserved for Naxal/Militancy Affected Districts in these State/UTs also. For 9 States viz. Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chattisgarh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal, all the candidates domiciled in Naxal/Militancy affected Districts and qualified in List-I will be considered for vacancies reserved for Naxal/Militancy affected Districts too. However, for these 9 States, a list of additional candidates is being released at a lower cut-off vis-a-vis List-I for candidates domiciled in Naxal/Militancy affected Districts as below :Accordingly, 9,884 additional Male candidates qualify for Medical Examination for Naxal/Militancy Affected Districts. List III : Additional candidates qualified against vacancies reserved for Border Districts In following 12 States, cut-off as in List-I will be applicable for List-III also :1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12. All the Candidates qualified in List-I in the 12 States/UTs mentioned above and domiciled in Border Districts will be considered for vacancies reserved for Border Districts in these State/UTs also. For 5 States viz. Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Manipur, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, all the candidates qualified in List-I and domiciled in Border Districts will be considered for vacancies reserved for Border Districts too. Accordingly, 919 additional Male candidates qualify for Medical Examination for Border Districts. State wise and category-wise break-up of the qualifying candidates is as below:

To sum up, following Male candidates are qualifying in each of the three Lists :List-I : 62,530(State-wise) List-II: 9,884(Additional for Naxal/Militancy affected Districts) List-III: 919(Additional for Border Districts) ----------Total 73,333

List-I has no common candidate with other 2 Lists. Between List-II and List-III there are 534 common candidates. Each candidate will be called for Medical Examination only once. 10. The list is PROVISIONAL. The candidates whose roll numbers figure in the list would be called for Medical Examination subject to their fulfilling all the eligibility conditions/requirements as prescribed for the post in the Notice of Examination and also subject to thorough verifications of their identity with reference to their photographs, signatures, handwriting, etc., on the application forms, admission certificates, etc. If on verification from the application form, it is found that any candidate does not fulfil any of the eligibility conditions, he

will not be eligible to appear for the Medical Examination. The Commission causes further verification of details in the OMR sheets of the candidates and also undertakes post examination/posts, result analysis of OMR sheets to detect incidence of malpractices. Therefore, the result of the written examination are placed on the website, subject to such verification/analysis. 11. If any candidate does not belong to the Category/State Code/Naxal Code/Border Code etc. as shown in the result, he may submit her representation to the concerned Regional Office without making any reference to the SSC, Headquarters since the original application of the candidate is already with them. Cut-off fixed can be seen from the result write-up on SSC website. In case of any mismatch of Category/Name/State Code/Naxal Code/Border Code, he candidate may not be included in the list. Therefore, it is in the interest of the candidates concerned to contact immediately the respective Regional Offices of the Commission in all such cases. 12. Candidates may note that as per Notice of the Examination, they were required to code/write their particulars correctly and append their signature in running hand/LTI on the answer sheets. Such answer sheets which are without signature in running hand/LTI and where particulars such as Name, Roll Number, Ticket Number and Test Form Number have been coded incorrectly, have been rejected/awarded ZERO marks. The OMR answer sheets of those candidates found possessing mobiles phones and accessories and other electronic gadgets within the premises of examination centres, whether in use or in switch off mode and on person or otherwise have not been evaluated. 13. Some candidates did not exercise their Language option (Hindi/English) in the Part D of the OMR answer sheet as required under Para 9(v)(c) of Notice of the Examination. However, in relaxation of the above provision the Commission has decided to apply answer keys in both Hindi and English Language and lower of the two scores has been taken into consideration. 14. The results of 279 candidates who appeared in the re-examination held on 24.11.2013 in Delhi and the result of those cases where there is mismatch of Roll No. & Ticket No. etc. will be declared in due course. 15. Medical Examination of the qualified candidates is likely to be held in December,2013 January, 2014. Candidates are advised to follow the website of the concerned Regional Offices. The facility of downloading of the call letters will be available from the website of the concerned Regional Offices.

16. The result of the candidates qualified for medical examination is available on SSCs website : http://ssc.nic.in. Marks of the all the qualified/non-qualified candidates will be declared in due course.
