SYSTEM SOFTWARE
System software refers to the files and programs that make up your computer's operating system. System files include libraries of functions, system services, drivers for printers and other hardware, system preferences, and other configuration files. The programs that are part of the system software include assemblers, compilers,

file management tools, and system utilities.


System software consists on variation of programs and some of the programs are operating systems, utilities, device driver and a lot more. Operating system is software that communicates with the hardware and allows other programs to run; Utility is software programs that add functionality to your computer or help your computer perform better; device driver is a component that Windows uses to provide I/O services for and interact with an underlying device, such as a modem or network adapter.

BASIC AND SPECIALIZED APPLICATION SOFTWARE


Basic supplications are widely used in nearly all career areas. Programs include browsers, word processors, spreadsheets, database management systems, and presentation graphics. Specialized application focus on specific disciplines and occupations. These programs include graphics, audio, video, multimedia, Web authoring, and artificial intelligences programs. Basic applications are the programs one has to know to be considered computer competent and are widely used in nearly all career areas. Specialized applications include thousands of other

programs that are more focused on specific disciplines and


occupations, such as graphics and multimedia.

OUTPUT
An output is that quantity of something that is produced by a person, machine or industry.

The term can also be applied to mean the


process of producing something or a place where information or power departs a system.

OUTPUT DEVICES
An output device is a device that performs a mechanical action after receiving the

electrical signal to do so from the PLC output


modules.

DIFFERENT TYPES OF COMPUTERS


The different types of computers are supercomputer, mainframe, minicomputers, and microcomputers. A supercomputer is a computer that performs at a rate of speed far above that of other computers. A

mainframe is an ultra-high-performance computer made for high-volume,


processor-intensive computing. They are typically used by large businesses and for scientific purposes. A minicomputer sounds like a small computer; in fact, minicomputers are several times the size of desktop PCs and are only one step below mainframes. Microcomputers can be further divided into different types based on the size of their central processing unit (CPU) and other major and minor components.

THE MOST COMMON TYPE


Microcomputers are the most common kind of computers used by people today, whether in a workplace, at school or on the desk at home.

THE TYPES OF MICROCOMPUTERS


The types of a microcomputer can be desktop, media center, notebook, tablet PC, netbook, or handheld.

INTERNET AND THE WEB


The internet in simple terms is a network of the interlinked computer networking worldwide, which is accessible to the general public. A web is software that is used to access the internet. A web lets you visit websites and do activities within them like login, view multimedia, link from one site to another, visit one page from another, print, send and receive email, among many other activities.

CONNECTIVITY
A generic term for connecting devices to each other in order to transfer data back and forth. It often refers to network connections, which embraces bridges, routers, switches and gateways as well as backbone networks. It may also refer to connecting a home or office to the Internet or connecting a digital camera to a computer or printer.

COMPUTER NETWORK
A computer network is a group of computer systems and other computing hardware

devices that are linked together through


communication channels to facilitate communication and resource-sharing among a wide range of users
