Despite his success as a published author, Outwitting the Devil was never released due to fears by his family and friends that it was too controversial. The original manuscript stayed within Hills family long after he passed away until a few years ago when it was turned over to the Napoleon Hill Foundation, an educational nonprofit dedicated to promoting his principles. The foundation, deciding now was the time for his unpublished work to be read, enlisted the help of Sharon Lechter, bestselling co-author of Three Feet from Gold and international bestselling co-author of Rich Dad Poor Dad, to release this book to the public.
