SUBJECT: Nominations - Architectural Review Board

The Architectural Review Board approves or disapproves plans for buildings to be erected,
renovated, or razed which are located, or to be located within the historic districts, preservation
districts and Governmental Center District.

The Architectural Review Board is composed of seven members appointed by City

Council, two from the West Florida Historic Preservation, Inc., each of whom shall be a resident
of the City of Pensacola; one member from the City Planning Board; two registered architects,
each of whom shall be a resident of the City of Pensacola; one member who is a resident of the
Pensacola Historic District, North Hill Preservation District or Old East Hill Preservation District;
and one member who is a property or business owner in the Palafox Historic Business District or
the Governmental Center District. These appointments are for a term of two years.

The term of Mr. C. Ray Jones, a resident representing the Pensacola Historic District,
North Hill Preservation District or Old East Hill Preservation District; and Daniel D. Lindemann,
representing the property of business owner in the Palafox Historic Business District or the
Governmental Center District will expire September 30, 2009. Both have indicated that they
would like to be considered for reappointment.

A list of the current members and attendance records for the incumbents are attached for
Council's review. Nomination forms are also attached for Council's use.

Nomination forms should be submitted to the City Clerk s office by 12:00 Noon, Friday,

September 11, 2009 for consideration at the Committee of the Whole meeting on Monday,
September 21, 2009.
