Their family attends Bowmansville Mennonite Church, and they are beginning a time of ministry with Youth With a Mission (YWAM). Dec. 15, Sun. -You are invited to participate in our annual Christmas Caroling . We will sing at Landis Homes at 2:30 p.m. Please park in the Healthcare parking lot at Landis Homes and meet in the Harvest View lobby. Please meet at church for caroling in the community beginning at 4 p.m. Refreshments will be served in the fellowship hall following the caroling. This is a great opportunity (for all ages) to encourage others as we celebrate Christs birth.

Dec. 18, Wed.-The Youth will be meeting at 6:30 p.m. to go Christmas Caroling at Fairmount Homes. Please note earlier meeting time. Dec. 18, Wed.- Sewing Circle MCC continues important relief work around the globe. This month they are gathering Hygiene Kits, as well as other material resources to be distributed in natural disaster areas hit with flooding and mudslides. Sewing Circle contributes to this effort by knotting comforts, sewing baby items, quilting a handsome quilt to be auctioned at the Pa. Relief Sale. The contents of a Hygiene kit are as follows: (New items, in original packaging)1 adult- size toothbrush, 1 squeeze-tube toothpaste (min. 6 oz),1 large bar bath soap, 1 fingernail clipper (good quality), 1 hand towel (larger than fingertip, dark color), Hygiene kits are distributed in a useful double drawstring cloth bag (11in x16in). Donate all or partial contents and sewing circle will place items in a bag and deliver to MRC. Dec. 19, Thurs.- Jr. Youth is having a Christmas Party, meet at church at 7 p.m. Dec. 22, Sun.-Our annual Christmas program will be held with prelude music beginning at approximately 9:15 a.m. and the service starting at 9:30 a.m. Sunday School classes will not meet that morning. There is a sign-up sheet on the narthex table for anyone interested in participating in the prelude. Copies of the music for the Hallelujah Chorus is available there as well, for anyone wishing to review it ahead of time. -The 2014 offering envelopes are on the table in the narthex. Please complete the slip of paper in your offering envelope box and then drop it into the wooden box on the table. This will enable us to give you the correct report of your offerings at yearend. Qualified applicants should have a love for K-8 children, a passion for teaching, a willingness to be flexible, a teaching degree, and the proper clearances. Please contact Phil Horning or Bethany Horning to arrange a time for a photo to be taken(Sun. after church might be good), or if you have a recent individual or family photo you would like to use, let us know that as well. -The outreach committee is getting a Christmas meal together for Crossfire youth ministries elementary children and families. We are planning to serve approx 200 people. There is a signup sheet on the narthex table. If anyone is willing to help with food or helping to serve we would greatly appreciate it.
