Contributor Write two posts a week, including The Day, focused on the Fort Greene and Clinton Hill neighborhoods in Brooklyn.
Edit features and news copy local and national for grammar and style. Fact check copy before publication. Write headlines for features, opinion, and news copy. Worked as a freelance staff writer. Produced the Buffalo News Food Truck Guide, which serves as a guide that is being continually updated since the internship ended.
The Spectrum
Managing Editor
Manage The Spectrums 50 editors and staff writers and help produce 7,000 copies of an award-winning newspaper three times a week. Edit, copy edit, and fact check every piece generated by staff members. Write stories and opinion pieces focusing on the University at Buffalo and City of Buffalo communities. Shoot and edit photographs for the paper, including sports events, profile pieces, and other community events. Produce video pieces and photo slide shows. Help teach a three-credit, 390-level English class to editors and staff writers. Edit content for the web, arrange and update website, and develop social media. Member of the Board of Directors.
