Scratch n win coupons reflect one of the key attributes of GKSF winning gold prizes. They also add a zing to shopping by making it possible for the customer to enjoy some instant attractive gifts. About 37 Lakh scratch and win coupons were distributed during GKSF-4. Participating shops are given the option to decide the total worth of purchase against which a coupon was to be distributed. The coupons come in a booklet of 50 each.

History of Coupon Consumption

Gift Opportunities through Scratch n Win Coupons GKSF Season 5 presents four golden opportunities for customers to win gold prizes through Scratch n Win coupon. They are Instant Scratch n Win Gift, Daily Draw , Weekly Draw and a final Mega draw. Cost of Coupon Coupons can be purchased at the time of festival @Rs.15/- per coupon with a minimum purchase of fifty coupons only or in multiples thereof. Coupon Elements Each Scratch n Win coupon will have a number which is considered for weekly and mega draw. The coupon will have three portions with two perforations. One portion will be retained by the ME with the name and contact number of customers. The remaining portion of the coupon has two scratch areas. One for daily draw participation and the other for instant cash gift voucher. Customer may text the alpha numeric unique code printed in the first scratch area to 9249400200 to participate in the daily draw. From the second scratch portion, customer will get to know if he has won any instant gift. In the instance of winning instant cash gift voucher he can submit the perforated voucher and can claim the cash instantly from the shop. If he has won gold he may approach the designated branches of South Indian Bank with sufficient documents. In select coupons there shall be a surprise discount offered by any brand. The customer may approach any outlet of the brand with the voucher and claim the discount. Customers who have not won any gift can retain the coupon till the end of the festival as h/she have chances to win daily, weekly and mega draw gifts.

Value of Instant Cash Gift Voucher Every book of 50 coupons will have three assured cash gift vouchers of Rs 100 each. Value of Gold Select coupons will have 1gm gold as surprise gift. Discount Voucher Select coupons may mention discounts offered by specific brands in the scratch area. Customers may approach the outlets of these brands to claim the discount/offer. Cash Distribution & redemption by ME Participating merchants should honor the winning vouchers instantly by giving Rs 100 each to the winners. To collect the cash, customer should handover the gift voucher to the ME who can thereafter present it at designated branches of SIB and receive the cash back. Free Coupons The number of free coupons allotted to each ME is based on the category under which the ME has registered. Shops registered under Gold category ( Rs 25,000) will get 300 free coupons. Shops registered under Silver Category ( Rs 5000) will get 50 free coupons. No free coupons are given to General category registrations Ordering additional coupons: MEs can order for additional coupons through the call centre and placing an order. A request number will be given once the request is registered. The requested quantity will be delivered within 12 hours.

Distribution of additional coupons to ME The order for additional coupon request will be delivered within 12 hours. In the case of more than 10,000 coupons ( 200 books) order has to be placed in advance. Bulk requests of 25000 coupons and above (500 books) will take more than 24 hours to be delivered. To avoid haste ME should place orders for additional coupons much in advance. MEs that are outside the jurisdiction of the designated distribution centers approved by GKSF authority shall collect additional coupons at their own risk and cost from the nearest distribution center. Payment for additional coupons by ME Payment for additional coupons to be made against Demand Drafts / Cheque (only) for the coupon value favoring Director, Grand Kerala Shopping Festival. No cash transaction is allowed. Tracking of coupons The ME has to sign & stamp the booklet acknowledgement slip in every book and return to the delivery boy. The book numbers are entered into the festival software at the end of each day for tracking the details of the coupons issued to each ME. Coupon Collection from ME Each week from Wednesday to Saturday, executives will visit each ME to collect the booklet completion slip of the completely sold out coupon books. Alternatively completion slips are collected every time fresh coupon delivery is made.

Distribution of Coupons to customers

Gold & Silver ME can decide the purchase value against which the coupon will be issued. However all MEs registering under the general category should issue one coupon for every purchase worth 1000 Rs or less. Display of Coupon Distribution Value All participating MEs should display the purchase value against which the coupon is issued in the slab display poster given to them. The poster can be displayed at the cash counter, front of the shops and any such visible areas. Packing of Coupons Coupon books come in sealed packets to ensure security. Security Measures Each coupon carry hologram and barcodes to ensure that there is no duplication or fraudulence. Prizes are distributed through the bank after thorough verification of the coupons and the supporting documents. Others The coupons cannot be transferred or resold to another ME/ person/ company. Any information received in this regard with proof will be dealt with serious consequences as the organizers may deem fit. All remaining coupons will become defunct after the festival and there will be no refund for the same. The record of the coupons issued may be maintained by the ME for any future reference and may be required to be submitted to the organizers at any time during or after the festival. No additional fee should be charged from the customer for the issue of coupons.

GKSF reserves the right to modify/change all or any of the aforesaid terms and points without assigning any reasons or without any prior intimation whatsoever.
