13.12.20 December meeting summary.

Commitment Everyone is fine to have more than one meeting per month this will depend on what we need to do/ what we need to organize/ what we need to discuss etc. For now we will stick with meetings once a week. Contains QUT/Griffith/School Dates Public Holidays Need everyones important dates Need to create an online calendar on google calendar

Managing money
Funding is essential for events/projects Thoughts on opening bank account; how will we go about it? Find out regulations/guidelines Zac has volunteered to look up more information on this for us (Thanks Zac!)

JANUARY 2014 PLAN

Marketing Campaign Describing paragraph: Mj will write up a describing paragraph and run it past by the group in the facebook group. Business cards: Each member has a stack to give out to people to promote the Launch and The Art Crowds website and Facebook page. Mixed feelings about this Might be something to think about later down the track.

Newspaper: Logan has contacts to someone who works for the local Newspaper

Sunday Markets: Also mixed feelings. Maybe something to consider when we have more events under our belt.

Posters: Want modern looking posters to promote the competition.

Approaching schools go directly to the arts teachers, guidance officers : Should be done during the first week of Term 1 2014. Start getting in contact with the important people the Arts teachers, guidance officers etc. MJ needs to have chat with Zane Trow before this happens. Approaching other Redlands arts groups: Not so important but if we are doing It we are only looking at art groups aimed for young people.

The Art Crowd Official Launch - Discuss: Draft date: Competition date: first weekend of april Launch/Prize awarding date: 26th April (Saturday) Competition theme - Brainstormed ideas: Mirror Emotion Technology Smartphones Change Whats inside the box Inner self Superheroes Moustaches Food Artistic Oppression Suburban Expression Simplicity Specific Colour Categories Music Film Photography Dance Drama Visual Arts Creative writing (Each will have specific guidelines eg film has to be less than 2 minutes) Venue Tanias Art House Penny Lane Park Community Hall

Prizes RedArts Binary Sound Shed Tanias Art House Oxlades Depending on how many entries we get we can have top ten that can be exhibited on the Launch day. Judges Will be sorted out later Possible candidates: Mr. Andrew Peachy, Zane Trow Tania, Uni Lecturers, Head of Departments from schools. Pieces will be judged without names.
