Mr. R.V.Shahi Mr. R.V. Shahi held the position of Secretary to the Government of India, Ministry of Power for nearly five years from April 2002 to January 2007. In this position, he was responsible for policy initiatives and implementation for the entire Power Sector (1,68,000 MW capacity) in India. During his tenure, the Indian Power Sector went through a major restructuring with the institution of the Electricity Act, 2003 and subsequent National Electricity Policy, 2005 and National Tariff Policy, 2006. Other major initiatives launched include the Accelerated Power Development & Reform Programme (2002), Rural Electrification Policy (2005), Ultra Mega Power Policy (2006) and Merchant Power Policy (2006). Mr. R.V. Shahi was also directly responsible for the long-term planning and operational performance of the Central Public Sector Undertakings viz. National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd (NTPC), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, National Hydroelectric Power Corporation Ltd, Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Ltd, Tehri Hydro Development Corporation Ltd, Power Finance Corporation Ltd, Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd, Bhakra Beas Management Board and Damodar Valley Corporation Ltd. He was also President of the Governing Council of Central Power Research Institute, Chairman of the Executive Committee of Bureau of Energy Efficiency and Chairman of the Governing Council of National Power Training Institute having 5 large Training Institutes in various parts of the country. Mr. R.V. Shahi's academic qualifications include Graduation (Mechanical Engineering), Post Graduation (Industrial Engineering), Post Graduation (Business Management) and Diploma in Advanced Industrial Management (Delft, Holland). He is a Fellow of the World Academy of Productivity Sciences. He is a Fellow of Institution of Engineers (India), a Fellow of International Institute of Electrical Engineers, and a Fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering. Prior to his appointment as Secretary, Mr. R.V. Shahi was Chairman and Managing Director of BSES Ltd from 1994 to 2002. Under his leadership, the company transformed from a small distribution utility to a multi- unit fully integrated power utility having interests in generation, transmission and distribution. Earlier, for over 16 years, he was with National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) holding various positions between 1978 and 1994. These included General Manager in charge of Dadri Power Project; Executive Director in charge of Southern Region of NTPC, and finally Member on the Board of Directors of NTPC in-charge of Operations, R&D and Commercial functions. Prior to this, Mr.R.V. Shahi worked for over 10 years with Hindustan Steel Ltd / Steel Authority of India. He was Chairman or Member on Boards of various companies, as also in the Audit Committees of the Boards, during different periods (1991 - 2002), including member on the Board and Audit Committee of Power Grid Corporation of India. He was Chairman of World Energy Council - Indian Member Committee (WEC-IMC) during April, 2002 to January, 2007 . Member (2003 - 2006) on the Policy Group of Carbon Sequestration Leadership Forum (CSLF), a US led global initiative; Member (2005 - 2006) on the Govt. Steering Committee for the US led global initiative on Zero Emission Future Generation Project. He has been closely associated with industry bodies such as Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industries (FICCI), Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) as Member or Chairman of various Committees. He was also a member on more than sixteen Committees and Organizations covering diverse topics relating to Energy, Environment, Human Resource Development and Education. In 2006, he was made Chairman of the Government of India's Working Group on Power for Eleventh Five Year Plan (2007-12). He is on the Boards of Governors of Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow, Management Development Institute(MDI) Gurgaon, and Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneshwar. Awards: Recipient of Diamond Jubilee Award of CBIP (1993), India International Gold Award- 1994 of the NRI Institute and Udyog Ratan Award Gail - 1994 of the Institute of Economic Studies, 1997, Top Professional Manager Award of the Institute of Marketing & Management (IMM), 1997- Indira Gandhi National Award, 2000, Special Award conferred by Lion's Club International and 2000 "Excellence in Corporate Governance Award" conferred by Rotary International District 3050 - Ahmedabad, Power-Telecom Convergence Award 2000 by IPPAI and NPTI, "BEST POWER MAN of the Millennium Year 2000" Award by National Foundation of Indian Engineers, Distinguished Fellow Award 2002 conferred by the Institute of Directors, Eminent Engineer Award by Institution of Engineers, International Executive Award by USEA, Powerline Expert Choice" Award'06 for Biggest Individual Contribution to the Power Sector" on the basis of a survey of power professionals. Publications: Has contributed and presented many papers at various National and International Conferences. He has authored a book titled "Indian Power Sector - Challenge and Response (2005)" and also edited a book titled "100 Years of Thermal Power in India

(2000)".

Mr. Sujit Dasgupta Mr. Sujit Dasgupta is the Chairman of Energo Engineering Projects Ltd. and is Director on Board of other Group Cos. since April 2004 prior to which he has held several senior level positions including Executive Director, Reliance Energy Limited (formerly BSES Limited) a leading integrated Power utility Company, engaged in the generation, transmission and distribution of power; CEO, Utility Powertech Ltd., a Joint Venture between BSES Ltd. & NTPC Ltd., the Company is engaged in operation and maintenance of power projects, distribution system and project engineering, construction and management activities in the power sector; Chief Executive, Ballarpur Industries Limited-Power Division, prior to which he had long association (1977 to 1995) with National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd. (NTPC)

> Mr. Sujit Dasgupta is B. Tech. (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur with over
40 years rich experience in the power sector.

> Hands on experience in setting up systems operation and maintenance and streamlining / trouble shooting various problems faced
while setting up thermal power projects.

> Proficient in managing techno-commercial functions including personnel, finance and marketing. > Proficient in maintaining harmonious industrial relations and inculcating participative management culture for large taskforces. > Fellow Member of the Institution of Engineers (India) and Indian Institute of Plant Engineers. > Member of the International Association of Electricity Generation, Transmission and Distribution (Afro-Asian Region).
As Executive Director NTPC(Eastern Region - April 1994 - December 1995) During this period, Eastern Region worked as an independent region and all techno commercial functions were taken out of the purview of corporate office.

> Engineering, Contracts and Operation Service for the whole Eastern Region. Overall charge of Super Thermal Power Station at
Farakka (1600 MW), Kahalgaon (840 MW), Talcher (1000 MW) and Talcher Thermal Power Station (460 MW).

> During his tenure Talcher Thermal power Station with the existing workforce was taken over by NTPC from Orissa State Electricity
Board. He was instrumental in changing the prevalent State Electricity Boards culture to NTPC culture which helped in station witnessing a turnaround in terms of performance parameters. The plant Load Factor increased to more than 60% from less than 20%. As Executive Director NTPC(Operation Services November 1993 - April 1994)

> Evolving policy guidelines and strategic planning for O&M as well as to develop expert services to resolve complex operational
problems.

> Complete monitoring of the performance of the running stations of NTPC as well as to conceive and develop plant specific
management systems for sustaining plant performance of high levels.

> Developing expertise in the area of out sourcing of spares and interacting with vendors to solve station problems.
As General Manager (Singrauli Super Thermal Power Station, the flagship station of NTPC)

> Managing the station in line with Corporate objective of high availability and economic cost of generation while ensuring that air and
water pollution norms as per international permissible limits are adhered to.

> Improved discipline and work culture. > Congenial working atmosphere coupled with harmonious industrial relations helped in maintaining discipline in the Station and
enhancing productivity. During this period, the Station received several national and international awards including the Government of India Medal-1989 for recording more than 75% Plant Load Factor.

> Commissioning of 500 MW units. > He was also responsible for commissioning of 200 MW units in Singrauli, Korba and Ramagundam. Later he was in-charge of O&M

of 5x200 MW units of Singrauli. With Maharashtra State Electricity Board (MSEB) (1969 to 1977)

> After graduation he joined MSEB as Executive Trainee Engineer and remained Associated until 1977 in the most happening years of
MSEB. He was involved in O&M/commissioning of several units upto 210 MW sizes. Within 8 years he was promoted as Station Superintendent and monitored performance of all power stations of MSEB.

> On promotion as Station Superintendent, assisted the Chief Engineer (Generation), MSEB in monitoring the performance of all the
thermal power stations of MSEB. Training Programmes Attended:

> Strategic Business Management three weeks programme conducted by Cranfield School of Management, U.K. in 1993. > Power Station Operation and Maintenance thirteen weeks programme conducted by CEGB, Government of U.K. in 1980.
From the time Mr. Dasgupta has taken over as the Chairman of EEPL (Energo Engineering Projects Ltd.) in 2004, the company has undertaken ambitious expansion plans and had over 100% average annual growth rate.

Mr. Dinesh B. Singh Mr. Dinesh B. Singh, Engineering Graduate with distinction from NIT Jamshedpur, is a first generation technocrat & entrepreneur. During the initial phase of his illustrious career with DESEIN (India), consortium of Hoctief (West Germany) and Impregilo (Italy), he was deeply involved with the Engineering, Planning, Execution, Contract Management of Domestic as well as International Projects worth over 10 Billion USD. It was later, on his return to India, that he sought to combine his entrepreneurship skills with his multi-faceted knowledge on the various production processes, manufacturing lines and project works.. And his brainchild, Energo Group, came into existence. He possess global vision and has deep understanding of global business operations, multinational taskforce planning, completely mechanised project implementation, multinational man/material/machinery outsourcing, risk mitigation, consortium functioning, projects cost control tools. Mr. Dinesh B. Singh has been deeply involved in commercial contractual, engineering and logistical aspects of large infrastructure projects. He has always been active at various forums to promote original concepts of Indian Power Sector Development. His 1995 paper Indian Powerr Sector Capacity Supply for AIC Conferences (Australia) predicted collapse of then Privatisation of Power and underlined importance & necessity of Indian Cos. taking the lead in Privatisation which ironically are proving true. He has also been very active is promoting Energy Efficiency & ESCO activities in India and has been advocating very original & innovative ESCO concepts. In its 20 years of existence, the Group under his leadership has crafted a special niche market for itself in the Indian Power Industry and is providing services in the highly specialized areas of power plants R&M/LE, Management and legal Services, Energy Audits, Performance Testing and Turnkey Solutions in Coal/Ash/Materials Handling Systems. The Group has developed a whole range of process equipment and systems with state of art technologies, which are being consumed to satisfaction by the best of the Indian Govt. Companies, PSUs and a large number of premium Private Sector Companies. Energo today houses hundreds of highly specialized Power Sector professionals and has an extensive network of centres all across the subcontinent. Dr. Jaya Singh Dr. Jaya Singh is the CFO & Director (Finance) of Energo Engineering Projects Limited (EEPL). She is with the organization since June 2004. A Qualified Finance Professional she has over two decades of working experience in the field of financial management, accounts and corporate affairs. Dr. Jaya Singhs vast experience in project finance, in dealing with national and international finance institutions,

with strategic planning acumen have played a vital role in shaping EEPLs growth and expansion plans. Her responsibilities involve financial planning and to provide strategic growth for Energo. During her tenure the Company has recorded CAGR of more than 150% in the past four years, improvement in profitability by 170%, ten fold increase in banking support. She is also instrumental in introducing, implementing & stabilizing fool proof legal compliances and audit procedures & systems and Corporate Governance in the Company. Before joining EEPL, Dr. Jaya Singh worked with Punjab National Bank in Credit Administration both in specialized branches & Corporate Office. She holds Doctorate in Industrial Toxicology, and Postgraduate Diploma from the Institute of Chartered Financial Analyst.
