When is the last date to submit the car design? As informed during all school presentations and seminars, the earlier you give us your car design the better are your chances to be able to test the manufactured car. The last day to submit your car design for manufacturing is 5th Jan 2013. However, we suggest that teams dont wait till the last day to submit the designs. How do we submit our car design to F1 in Schools India?

1. Open the fully assembled car's assembly file. 2. Go to File > Pack and Go. 3. In the pack and go window, make sure that all component part files are selected along with the assembly file. 4. Click on the "Save to Zip file" button. 5. Save the file. 6. Mail the zip file to info@f1inschoolsindia.com. 7. Make sure that you put up the subject of the mail as: "<School Name> <Team Name> - Car Design No (1/2/3)" Members of our team are going away on vacation. Can one of our team members collect or receive the cars on behalf of the team? F1S manufacturing centre shall be open on all days till 5th January 2013. The centre shall be closed between 5th 11th Jan 2013 and will reopen after the Regionals.

We have no problems with designs being submitted to us after your school closes or when it breaks for winter. What happens when I submit my design to F1S India? Again, as mentioned during the seminars we will inspect your car design and suggest changes to the design if required. If the teams dont wish to change the design based on our suggestions, we do not guarantee the outcome of manufactured cars. How long does F1S take to manufacture the car after design is submitted? After providing design feedback and based on teams consent on manufacturing, it would take us an average of 4 business days to manufacture both cars. How would F1S decide the order of manufacturing? The manufacturing shall be scheduled on a first come first serve basis. Are students allowed into the manufacturing facility? Students can put in a request to come and observe their cars being manufactured and collect them subsequently. Please note that it is not mandatory for a team to come in individually for the manufacturing process.

Are students allowed to take pictures of their cars being manufactured? Students are free to take pictures without disrupting operations or the manufacturing process. How long does the manufacturing process last? It takes an average of 60 minutes to manufacture one F1S car. What is the cost of manufacturing and how to teams pay for manufacturing? As informed, the cost of manufacturing and raw materials is Rs. 7000 Cheques can be made in favour of KaptanMCA Trackstar Private Limited. NOTE: Please note that F1S will only start the manufacturing process upon receipt of the cheques. Will F1S manufacture wheels and axles as per the specification of the teams? F1S shall provide standard wheels and axles as shown in the seminars and advised during presentations. The cost of the wheels and axles are included in the manufacturing costs.

Can the teams manufacture their own wheels or axles? The teams are free to manufacture their own wheels or axles as long as they conform with the rules and regulations posted on the www.f1inschoolsindia.com website. F1S will not be responsible for manufacturing customized wheels and axles for the teams. Will F1S paint or put finishing touches to the cars? F1S will note paint or put finishing touches as explained and clearly intimated to all the teams. Can the body of cars be made of any other material except for Balsa wood from F1S? The body of cars must always be made from the Balsa wood supplied by F1S India.
