Retrofitsareverylikelytobenecessary,evenifyouhavealreadymoreefficientfixtures. Lowflowvs.regularinnewinstallationsareratherinexpensive.

Inourmostrecentlyfinishedprojectwereplacedtheseexistingfixtures,whichautomatic, lowflowfixtures.Thesearehydropower,whichmeanstheydonotrequirebatteries(most buildingmanagerdontliketochangebatteriesallthetime.Alsolotsoftoxicwaste)nor aretheyhardwired.Sonocuttingupthewall,newelectric. Thisisaverymanageableinvestment,whichpaysofquick.Thisinstallationwillreducethe waterconsumptionofthoserestroomsbymorethan40%.

Commissioningisanotherprerequisiteapplicabletoallratingsystem. Thecommissioningagent,athirdpartyengineer,checksourdesignandtheinstallationon site.Thatsbeneficialtotheownerortenantbecause,hemakessurethatthosefancyCO2 sensorsareactuallyconnectedtotheBASandreducedtheairintothespace,whenits unoccupied.
