CLASS EXPECTATIONS AND SYLLABUS

List of Supplies that are ESSENTIAL for your EVERYDAY class experience:

-Writing Utensil (Something to Write With)


-Paper Source (Something to Write On)
-Textbook (Number One Class Resource)
-Assignments (By Due Date)
-Unspecified materials (Articles, Handouts etc)

There will be no passes allowed to retrieve these items. If your forgetting of these items
becomes habitual, it will result in a referral.

Attitude and Participation:

ATTITUDE

You will be treated with the utmost respect once you enter this room:
You are expected to be courteous and respectful in return.

For the brief period you are in this room everyday, it is considered a professional/work
setting:
You are expected to conduct yourself in a positive fashion that supports the benefit of
yourself and those around you.

When someone is speaking to or on behalf of the entire class, you are expected to give
him or her his or her just due and respectful attention:
Interruptions and Distractions will be dealt with in a very direct and precise manner,
habitual offenses will result in the removal from class and a referral.

PARTICIPATION

The following components are evaluated when considering ones participation:

-Punctuality
-Reliability
-Respectfulness
-Productivity
-Preparation
-Relevant Participation

You will receive a weekly participation grade worth 5 points per week.
Make-Up Work and Tests and Late Work

It is the responsibility of the student to acquire make-up assignments and to arrange for a
test if you miss one. Unexcused absences will result in zeros.

Assignments lose 10 points per day they are late until they reach ½ value. At this time
remains ½ credit until the end of the 10-week marking period in which the work was
assigned, and then it WILL become a zero.

CHEATING IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED.


-Any evidence of copying or schematic and systematic cheating of a scandalous
nature will result in zeros for all involved parties and referral(s).

Grading Scale

100= A+ 99-94=A 93-90=A-


89-87=B+ 86-84=B 83-80=B-
79-77=C+ 76-74=C 73-70=C-
69-67=D+ 66-64=D 63-60=D-
59-below=F NC=No Credit due to absences (10)

School Board Policies that will STRICTLY Enforced:

1. No Food/Drink in Classroom
2. No Outerwear in Classroom
3. No Headwear in School
4. No Unnecessary Electronic Devices/Cell Phones in School
5. No Hall Passes unless granted in a Rare Circumstance (Authorized Pass Only)
6. Compliance of the Dress Code
7. Compliance of the Student Code of Conduct
