A Brief on Activity of the cluster:

(Brief about the present on going activity of the cluster viz. spinning, weaving, processing etc.)

Out of 500 Fibre manufacturing units in pollachi, 350 to 400 Units are working very efficiently with the production of coir fibre about 4 MT/Day/Unit, So totally pollachi coir fibre production capacity is 1500 MT to 1600 MT per day. In this some of the units are also engagged in the manufacturing of curled coir rope(production of approximately 250 MT/Day/Unit).
