We have a lot of manly men in our congregation. So as an expression of our manliness, were planning the following event: Mens Wild Game Supper February 5, 2014, 6 PM Speaker: Wayne Shepperd.
HEY! Im over here!
Wayne works for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and will let us know what we men can do to help combat the great evil of human trafficking that is luring thousands of young women and men into sexual slavery every year. What we need from you: Huh? 1. Plan to be there! 2. Bring a dish of wild game to share. Rabbit, venison, squirrel, elk, moose...whatever youve got (well, maybe not possum). No wild game? Bring something else to eat! 3. Bring a friend.if you have one. Other considerations: Wear at least one piece of camouflage clothing or face a $1 fine and the ridicule of all present. Prizes for: best game dish, and for the man who looks most like a Duck Dynasty family member.

Thank you....
A special thank you from Selma Thomson To my Central Family, Many thanks for all the warm greetings and wonderful flowers that I have received during my stay at Penn Hall. Your kindness is much appreciated. In Christs Name Selma Thomson
With gratitude & appreciation from us all! To Members and Friends of Central: I wish to thank everyone for the very generous monetary gift given to me from the congregation at the worship service Sunday morning. Once again I am overwhelmed at the love and generosity of my loving and caring church family. Thank you, too, for all your prayers and concern over my recent biopsy. The prayers were answered with a benign report for which I am very grateful. Praise God!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone. Love, Helen
Also many thanks to everyone for praying for my sister-in-law Joanne Sheller who still is continuing to have radiation and chemo treatments.

Thank you to everyone who gave their time to ring bells for the Salvation Army especially Julia Super, Gracie Mellott and Nate and Abbie Dalton. You collected $393.14 for people in need. Thank you for thinking about others in our community. Bill McKelvie

We wish to thank the congregation for the many donations for the Thanksgiving Baskets. This year they fed 74 families (346 people). We especially want to thank David Bender for the use of his box truck which transported the food items to Central Presbyterian Church. The Bender Farm generously provided a bag of potatoes for each family. Again, we thank all of you for your generosity. The Deacons

Dear Central Congregation, Thank you so much for all your tour team did on Sunday December 15 to make our Christmas house tour be so successful. This was our sixth year for the tour and we sold more tickets than ever before (110), even with the snow. It has become such a community event that everyone looks forward to, and asks about as early as September. On behalf of the Franklin County Historical Society, please accept my gratitude for your assistance. Ann Hull Executive Director Central tour team members were Kathryn Finley, Jean Gisriel, Norm Harper, Len Hendricks, Ann Miller, Doug Vanderau, & Sam Worley.

JOY VILLAGE
There are many medical challenges for the small residents of Joy Village, largely the result of the neglect and abuse suffered before coming into their Joy Village families. Also, 50% are HIV+ and require ongoing treatment. Visiting counselors and physicians from the U.S. have provided extensive psychological testing and medical screening. Joy Village hopes to provide adequate health insurance for each child, funding and transport for medical and dental care, funding for medications, and employment of a part-time counselor to deal with abuse and behavior issues. All this requires money. Lets keep Joy Village in our thoughts and prayers, and continue our loving support.
