Retailers focus on going ‘green’ EMERGE Lakeland
March 9 saw another early morning meeting of Chamber retailers. Goes Green Event
Focusing on Merchandising and Consumer Trends, Barb Erickson
of PartyLite Gifts reminded the attendees to dress for success and
showcase new and exciting products. As the TrendWatching.com
report indicated a continuation of “green” initiatives, AGreenMaid’s
Jennifer Hicks was on hand to offer business owners some insight
into bringing the dollars associated with the trend into our local
stores. Special thanks to Chef Paulie’s Services for an outstanding
omelette and waffle breakfast and to Bramble Ridge for hosting the event.
EMERGE Lakeland members attended
an EMERGE Goes Green social hosted

Everyone can make a difference and
there are many simple things we all
can do that take less than a minute
from changing to compact fluorescent
light bulbs to saying “no thanks” to
atm receipts. Look for more Green
initiatives at future events throughout
the year. Social interaction among
young professionals is one of the
missions of EMERGE.

EMERGE members also attended a
