LO 5-3805-292-13 LUBRICATION ORDER
GENERAL LUBRICATION PROCEDURES 0000
NOTE
• Overall views of lubrication points are located at the end of this lubrication order.
1. Recommended intervals are based on normal conditions of operation, temperature, and humidity.
When operating under extreme conditions, such as high or low temperatures or exposure to sand or
dust, lubricants should always be changed more frequently. Lubricants that have become
contaminated will be changed regardless of interval. When in doubt, notify your supervisor.
WARNING
2. Ensure all fluids drained as a result of lubrication or maintenance are collected in a suitable container
and disposed of in accordance with local policy and ordinances. Clean up any spills immediately.
3. Keep all lubricants in a closed container and store in a clean, dry place away from extreme heat. Keep
container covers clean and do not allow dust, dirt, or other foreign material to mix with lubricants. Keep
all lubrication equipment clean and ready for use.
4. Maintain a good record of all lubrication performed and report any problem noted during lubrication.
Refer to DA PAM 750-8 for maintenance forms and procedures to record and report any findings.
5. Keep all external parts of equipment not requiring lubrication free of lubricants. Before lubrication, wipe
lubrication fittings with a clean rag. After lubrication, wipe off excess oil or grease to prevent
accumulation of foreign matter.
6. Refer to FM 9-207, Operation and Maintenance of Ordnance Materiel in Cold Weather for lubrication
instructions in cold weather.
7. For equipment under manufacturer’s warranty, hardtime oil service intervals shall be followed.
Intervals shall be shortened if lubricants are known to be contaminated or if operation is under adverse
conditions (i.e., longer-than-usual operating hours, extended idling periods, or extreme dust).
8. Engine, fuel, and hydraulic system oil filters shall be changed when:

NOTE
• A copy of this lubrication order will remain with the vehicle at all times. Instructions con-
tained herein are mandatory and supersede all conflicting lubrication instructions dated
prior to the date of this lubrication order.
• This lubrication order is for crew (C) and field (F) maintenance. Procedures marked (C) on
the chart may be performed by crew maintenance (or above). Procedures marked (F)
must be performed by field maintenance.
• Lubrication intervals (on-condition or hardtime) are based on normal operation. Lubricate
more often during constant use, and less often during inactive periods. Use the correct
grade of lubricant for seasonal temperature expected.
• In the interval column, D indicates Daily and M indicates Monthly.
• This M400T or M400W is not enrolled in the Army Oil Analysis Program. HARDTIME
INTERVALS APPLY.
• For equipment under manufacturer’s warranty, hardtime oil service intervals shall be
followed. Intervals shall be shortened if lubricants are known to be contaminated or if
operation is under adverse conditions such as longer than usual operating hours,
extended idling periods, extreme dust, etc.
• On the following illustrations, a dashed line (---) indicates lubrication points on both sides
of equipment.
• Unless otherwise specified, lubrication services apply to both M400T and M400W.
• Before you start your lubrication service:
ALWAYS NEVER
b. Use the lubrication order as your guide. b. Use too much lubricant.
