The Mineable Shape Optimizer (MSO) automatically produces optimized stope designs which maximise the value of recovered ore within the given geometry and design constraints. It supports massive, sub-vertical and at horizontal deposits and can quickly generate individual stope designs within a resource model.

Strategic Planning & Optimization

CAE Mining provides several tools for the strategic planning of underground mining operations. These tools are designed to answer the question: How do we maximise the value of our mine?. The Mineable Reserves Optimizer (MRO) determines the optimal mining envelopes within which stopes should be designed. This product is ideal for preliminary underground reserve estimation featuring Floating Stope algorithms that oat a Minimum Mining Unit (MMU) shape throughout a resource model to determine a mining reserve.

CAEs Mine Layout Optimizer (MLO) produces optimal decline designs satisfying access requirements and design criteria. MLO assists with rapid engineering at the analysis stages of a project as well as being a valuable aid to subsequent detailed designs.

EPS has a full Gantt chart scheduler designed specifically for mining, with industry-specific functionality not available in off-the-shelf schedulers.

Operations
The CAE Mining underground planning solution includes functionality to complete operational tasks including ventilation modeling, drill and blast design, and a CAD platform for producing detailed engineering drawings, level plans and cross sections. Ventsim Visual is a mine ventilation modeling and simulation application featuring a full 3D visual interface with real-time animation of airow & ventilation controls. This program accurately simulates airow, contaminant dispersion, thermodynamic heat and moisture. Financial evaluation functions are also available for analysis of capital and operating costs of ventilation systems. Comprehensive drill and blast functionality is provided in an easy-to-use owsheet style interface via the iRing application. The user can rapidly design drill holes, charging and detonation, with integrated plotting along with the ability to download ring designs directly to the drill using IREDES specification. Deswik.CAD is the full mine drafting and CAD package for producing and issuing drawings and mining instructions. It has full CAD drafting capabilities in 3D including annotation, title blocks and multiple viewport and can handle large datasets with ease and speed.

Cost Estimation & Control

CAE Mining has teamed up with Hard Dollar to provide mining customers with seamless integration of the design and schedule with financial evaluation. Using our integrated solution, impacts of design or schedule changes are instantly assessed in the linked financial model, and the delays and errors associated with manual transcription of data and spread sheet errors are eliminated. The solution includes optional modules for cost control, tracking and benchmarking ideal for efficiently managing schedule implementation.
