permissible variation

measured variation

move cross- carriage 0.2 mm to to rear end of running 10 m length track. Carry the steel wire along the free part of the guide rall over the set pins and tension. Measure with set pins and feeler gauge at intervals of 1m. Then move cross carriage to the front end of running track. repeat measurement as before. Gauge length is at least twice the dead length of the machine

Horizontal position of guide rail longitudinally and transversely

Spirit level with 0.1 mm/m scale interval, leveling instrument with coincidence bubble

Apply sprit level at intervals of 1 m along and across the rail surfaces. Attach prism block if necessary for prismatic rails move cross- carriage to rear end of running track. Carry the steel wire along the free part of the running rall over the set pins and tension. Measure with set pins and feeler gauge at intervals of 1m. Then move cross carriage to the front end of running track. Repeat measurement as before. Guage length is at least twice the dead length of the machine.

0.2 mm/m longitudinally but not more than 2 mm on running track lengths upto 50 m. 0.1 mm/m transversely For rails machined laterally 0.5 mm up to a length of 20 m. for rails not not machined laterally 3mm up to a length of 20 m.

Horizontal position of running rail longitudinally and transversely

Spirit level with 0.1 mm/m scale interval, leveling instrument with coincidence bubble

Apply sprit level at intervals of 1 m along and across the rail surfaces. Attach prism block if necessary for prismatic rails

0.2 mm/m longitudinally and transversely but not more than 2 mmover total length of running track.

Horizontal position of guide rail and running rail in rotation to each other

hose level with Measure at the start 0.1 mm/m scale middle and end of interval, leveling the running track Instrument levelling telescope Steel measuring Measure at the start tape middle and end of the running track. The distance between the guide rail and running rail the track gauge shall be maintained according to the manufacturer's assembly plan.

0.5 mm to 10m track width, 1mm for track widths >10m

Paralleism of guide rail and running rail in relation to each other

No limitation, but running wheel shall be fully supported over the total length.

Stroke of torch height adjustment

Steel measuring Travel torch height tape slides to highest and lowest position. Compare with dimensions on manufacturer's assembly plan. Steel measuring Move control device tape or cutting torch to Inner and outer position. Measure distance of travel and compare with manufacturer's machine assembly plan Steel measuring Move cross-carriage tape to forward and rear position. Measure distance of travel and compare with the manufacturer's machine assembly plan

If there are more than one pallet, readings shall be recorded for each pallet by giving number.

Straight edge, gauge blocks and dial gauge.

The stylus of the dial gauge is to be placed approximately at working position of the tool. The measurement may be made on a straight edge laid parallel to the table surface. If the spindle can be locked the dial gauge may be mounted on it. If spindle cannot be locked, the dial gauge shall be placed on the spindle cannot be locked, the dial gauge shall be placed on the spindle head slide. Y & Z axes to be locked, (if available)
