September to July! EXTENDED LEAVE Extended leave will only be given in extremely special circumstances and only at schools discretion. In very exceptional circumstances, school may authorise up to 5 days, however we always encourage families to take trips during holidays instead of in school time. Unless it is absolutely necessary, do not take your children out of school. It is very unlikely that extended leave will be authorised. Please note that families who take unauthorised extended leave will be charged by Bradford Council. This charge is 60 per parent, per child. This means that for a family with two parents and two children, the charge will be 240. In addition to this, it is likely that the children will lose their place at school.
