Vehicle ID Solutions
OpSec provide a wide range of optical security solutions for vehicle Identification. Through OpSec's sophisticated optical features,
proven constructions and expertise in the vehicle sector, they are uniquely positioned to provide solutions to governments' for this
important function.
Governments that deploy effective vehicle identification solutions are proven to be more successful at coll ecting
taxes, enhancing revenues and enforcing vehicle laws.
OpSec Technology
OpSec prides itself as having the most comprehensive range of OVD (Optically Variable Device) technologies within one
company. Purpose build, state-of-the-art laboratories in both the US and the UK develop and produce OVD imagery that is the
envy of the industry.
These technologies include 2 and 3 dimensional imaging, complex computer-generated kinetic designs, E-beam and ultra-high
resolution imagery. OpSec's extensive R&D program combines multiple technologies into a single image (Multigram) in order to
create OVD's that present a formidable barri er to counterfeiti ng.
Secure Windshield Decals
OpSec's range of secure windshield decals allow government authorities
to provide secure visual confirmation of a range of vehicle identification
requirements including

Temporary Vehicle Registration & SecureETag
In the USA, the temporary vehicle registration system continues to be placed
under increased scrutiny due to the highly vulnerable security of many
practices. Hand written temporary tags with no security features are easily
counterfeited by criminals.
The results include lost revenues for government, major issues for police
forces and the opportunity for organised criminals to fraudulently sell motor
vehicles or gain anonymous and unauthorised use of our roads.
To address this problem, OpSec worked closely with state motor vehicle
administrators to develop the SecureETag solution.
SecureETagenables authorised vehicle dealerships to successfully combine
a secure anti-counterfeit temporary tag with a full track and trace database.
The resulting benefits include:
Temporary tag crime significantly more difficult to commit
Generating additional registration revenue for governments
Improved clarity and traceability for police officers
Reduction in organised crime

Features Highlighted:-
Interlaced ISIS:
OpSec's patented OVO exhibits a dramatic kinetic
"black and white" image switch (unlike traditional
"rainbow" diffractive OVOs) providing strong overt
security, while maintaining a simple visual authentication
feature.
Micro Text:
200dpi embedded micro-text pixels 'UTOPIA'
in the keyline at the bottom of the logo element
CLR (Covert Laser Read):
Encoded 'UA' Image within the OVO label ,
such that it can only be seen by interrogating
the label using a laser reading device.

Hoxels
Hoxels:
Using ultra-high precision control , uniquely shaped
checkerboard hoxels are micro-positioned to optimise the
optical effect and provide an image that has a highly
complex forensic fingerprint that is easy to recognise by
simple magnification.
Kinetic Two Channel Switch:
Strong visual switch between the eagle and star via a
vertical or rotational movement of the OVD, providing a
strong public feature seen in even adverse lighting
conditions.
True Colour Image:
At a specific angle of illumination and view, a true colour
portrait image of Sir Thomas More is revealed.
Ucense Plate Authentication
In recent years vehicle cloning has become a major concern for both vehicle owners and
police. Cloning involves the criminal activity of copying a legal license plate to place onto
a similar vehicle that is then often involved in criminal activity. Legal owners are often
subsequently implicated in crimes they have not committed.
The growth of Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras on our roads has
made the activity of license plate cloning even more valuable to criminal gangs.
The solut ion to this problem is to ensure that the number plate cannot be easily copied
and offers a range of unique visual and electronic identifiers linked only to that specific
number plate.
OpSec offer a unique OVD (Optically Variably Device) solution, which can be embedded
within plastic license plates or added at a later stage to metal plates as a weather
resistant label.
The label can be designed with a wide range of overt and covert security features.
Further personalisation including serialisation and QR codes can take the level of
authentication yet further.
