Dick Whittington and his Cat A punto Scene 1: Intro Narrator Narrator: Welcome, welcome one and all

to our Christmas night of fun; a panto we present for you; a treat for everyone. Its set in a town in Nottinghamshire; not dissimilar to our own Times were hard as well back then; even before the Eurozone Our hero is a young man named Dick; his moniker is quite funny And he lives in a little house that he shares with his lovely mummy Thats all Ill say or Ill spoil the plot; lets see what happens this time As you sit back as we unveil our... Scene 2: Dicks mum enters Mum: Dick, Dick... oh, where is that boy wherever can he be? Hes been out for several hours and its almost time for tea I bet hes gone to the library; his nose is forever in a book If hes not back in the next 5 minutes Ill go out and have a look

Enter Dick reading a book, he is with Jess the cat who is holding two rats Mum: Ahh, here he comes now, look he reads so much its scary Whats that youve got there? Oh mum, its my dick-tionary Oh God, its a pun-tomime isnt it? Has Jess your cat, caught us some dinner? I havent eaten since half past three

Dick: Mum:

Dick gives her the rats Dick: Mum: Here you go, pop these in the pot Oh great, I can make a rat or two eee

Well if youre spotted dick youll be in custardy

Dick and his mum discuss their future, flat broke, no money. I hear the streets of London are paved with gold Scene 3: King Rat tells his fellow rats to run amock amongst the streets of london Scene 3: Dick and Jess go to London and meet several people on the way, they are all leaving as London has been over run by rats

Scene 4: He arrives in London and looks at all the sights but alas there is no gold on the streets. He is snubbed by everyone and leave only to hear the bells peal out... turn again Whittington etc Scene 5: Tired and hungry he curls up to sleep on the steps of St Pauls. A wealthy businessman takes pity on him and gives him lodging (its not very likely but remember its a fairy tale) Scene 6: Dick starts work in the kitchen with the businessmans daughter. They are plagued by rats but Jess starts catching them Scene 7: Rats report back to the king, they devise a plan, capture Dicks girlfriend and hold her to ransom Scene 8: Rats capture her, Dick is distraught Scene 9: King Rats lair, return with the girl. Scene 10: Narrator Scene 11: Train Jess up into a super cat. Scene 12: Go to the rats lair and rescue the girl, Jess captures all the rats Scene 13: Boris Johnson congratulates him and offers to step down so that he can become mayor of London. Scene 14: Big party narrator concludes the story
