Description of Contracted Work Converted to State Staff DWR will replace contracted personnel with three new positions to provide environmental and scientific data technology services and programmatic support for the California Environmental Resources Evaluation System. DMHC will replace its Customer Relationship Management System, serviced by contractors, with new software which will be maintained by two state staff. DHCS will replace a data collection and analysis contract for the Every Woman Counts program with four two-year limited-term staff. DPH will convert a portion of a Division of Communicable Disease Control contract work to two state staff. DPH will convert a local assistance contract to 45 state staff in its Nutrition Education and Obesity Prevention Branch. DCSS will convert a total of 100 contract positions to state staff over a three-year period to continue the maintenance and operations of the California Child Support Automation System and the Child Support Enforcement System. (35 positions will be converted in 14-15, 38 positions in 15-16, and 27 positions in 16-17.) CalTech will replace contract consultants with two state staff to perform work related to transferring data files securely over the Internet. CalSTRS will replace contract consultants with nine state staff to perform work related to enhancing, supporting, and maintaining its information technology systems in order to transition knowledge and expertise to permanent employees.
