Obey Your Teachers

January 19- January 25, 2014

Review the central truth, the memory verse, prayer and confessions, and read the Bible story with your child each day. As this is done, let your child color in or put a sticker on the power outlet located on the back of the devotional. At the end of the week please sign as proof of completion and return to the teacher. Children who complete 3 weeks Power Cords in a month will have their picture posted in the foyer of Power Source.

If we obey our teachers, we will do well.

Children, obey your parents in the Lord. . . Ephesians 6:1

God, I worship You with all my heart. I want to know You by reading Your Word, listening to You, going to church, and being willing to forgive others. Thank You for good teachers and help me to choose good friends. Help me to obey my parents so things will go well with me and I will live a long life on the earth. Help me to look for ways to bless others. Thank you that because of Jesus, I am healed and whole. In Jesus Name, Amen

Hannah wanted to have a baby. She prayed and trusted God. She promised God that if He would bless her with a son, she would raise him up to serve God. When her baby, Samuel, was born, Hannah took good care of him. When Samuel was old enough, she took Samuel to the temple to live. Eli, the priest, would care for him and teach him about God and how to serve Him. 1 Samuel 1:4 - 2:11
Psalm 8:1 O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is Your name in all the earth, who have set Your glory above the heavens!
