Welcome to Unley Park Baptist today. It is great to have you with us. If you are new to Unley Park, we appreciate that it can be daunting to walk into a new church, so as much as we can, we want to help you feel at home here. In the pew in front of you please find a black folder that contains a white care card for you to complete. There is also a "Welcome Pack" available for you that, among other things, has a special Care Card for you to record your visit and for us to follow up any requests you make. Just a Minute
Rob Waldron writes Bumper stickers often give an indication of a person's political persuasion, or their concerns over the environment and so on but one I read a while back gave me plenty to think on. It read simply 'Imagine if everybody told the truth'. A couple of months ago I was negotiating to buy a new car and as I went to dealer after dealer, each of them extolling the virtues of the cars they were selling, I soon began to wonder who was telling the truth. But that is often the way of business - a sale often takes precedence over ethics. In some countries bribery (often known here as incentives) oils the wheels of commerce. And of course advertising often makes claims which stretch the boundaries of what is truthful. So imagine a world where everyone told the truth. Jesus gave a hint of what this would be like. "You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free'. Freedom, where you can trust each other and believe each other and honesty prevails. Today, in our message I hope you will discover that Jesus is the answer.

Pre-service prayer
We meet each Sunday morning before the coffee time and before the service, in Neil Ryan's office for a short time of prayer at 9.45 a.m. All welcome. "Did I not say to you, if you believe, you will see the glory of God"? John 11:40

OM SA Australia Day Picnic

City Bible Forum Launch Lunch

Kick off your year of workplace ministry by joining us during your lunch break to hear Dr Peter Adam, former Principal of Ridley Bible College, talk about how prayer and evangelism can combine to transform your workplace! The lunch is designed specifically to invite fellow Christian workers or friends from Church who work to consider how they can maximise their Christian witness at work. Please INVITE someone along so that we can mobilise more Christians for workplace mission in 2014. We'll excite people with the events ahead this year & the chance to register for an EPT near their workplace. Friday, January 31 at Flinders St Baptist church, 12.30 1.15pm.

Urgent need
Justin and Linda Wharton's car has gone into the mechanics for repair and they have a desperate need of a car for a couple of weeks. If you can assist them by lending them a vehicle please phone Justin on 0417 504 881.
