WORK EXPERIENCE/ INTERNSHIP May- July 2010 Project Internship SUPELEC-Rennes, France Controller Design, Combined cycle Power Plant Designed a robust controller for optimal operation of Combined Cycle Power Plant based on model predictive control under Prof. HerveGueguen, SUPELEC, Rennes. Developed a new state space modeling method for any dynamic system to implement the MPC controller. The MPC controller was tested to be 30% more efficient than the conventional PID controller. ACADEMIC PROJECTS July 2010 -Present(ongoing) B. Tech Project Devising a Zero switching lossCurrent Source Inverter for High Power Application The project involves detailed analysis, simulation and study of experimental results of various alternative topologies for CSI. The aim of the project is to come up with the most energy efficient topology and modelling it in hardware at the cheapest possible cost. October-November 2010 Term Project on Moving object speed estimation using Kalman Filter Used and compared different Image segmentation algorithms for object detection in given real time video frame. In-corporate Kalman filter with a generalised moving object state space model to reduce image processing cost and better estimation of object speed from noisy measurements. July-August 2010 Term Project on Congestion Control Designed a dynamic control algorithm for congestion control in Vehicle routing problem under Prof. AurobindaRoutray, Dept of Electrical Engineering. The project was adjudged 2nd best from among 13 projects on Control System Design. Jan-April 2010 Term Project on Stepper motor Speed Control Designed an embedded system for Speed control of a Stepper Motor using optical interface on FPGA platform under Prof. AurobindaRoutray, Department of Electrical Engineering, IITKharagpur. Developed a GUI for the same and implemented the design in real time.
