1.5 Compatibility
AMPL PC and DB Element Libraries 3.2/0 include the libraries valid for Function Chart Builder 6.2/0 and also AMPL PC and DB Element Libraries valid for Function Chart Builder 6.1/0. AMPL PC and DB Libraries 3.2/0 can also be installed for revisions of Function Chart Builder 6.2/0. The included AMPL PC and DB Libraries for Function Chart Builder 6.1/0 can be installed for all revisions of Function Chart Builder 6.1. See also Control Builder A Release Notes.
1.6 Restrictions
AMPL PC and DB Element Libraries do not contain any Library for Function Chart Builder <= 6.0.

3.1 Installation
The pictures for detailed installation are an example for the generation workflow. The included versions of product and components are not necessarily related to Function Chart Builder 6.2.

The installation program opens the Select Library Options dialog. Check the library options you want to install. Uncheck the library options you do not want to install.
NOTES The version number 3.2/0 is the version identification of the AMPL library, not the version of a target type. Each AMPL library includes support for all available versions released for a target type. If Control Builder A Select Product is used, the library options AC 410, AC 450, and MP200/1 are not available. Click Next.

This kind of installation is described in detail in Chapter 3.1.3, Installation on a Server. Local: Install the libraries for a local installation of Function Chart Builder. The libraries will be installed on your local PC.

The installation program opens the Choose Default Setup Type dialog. If you wish to install all library options with the same setup type (Typical, Compact, or Custom), you can make this selection here. Otherwise leave the No default setting and you will be asked to choose a setup type for each library option selected in Step 3 above.

In case of Typical or Compact library installation, the installation program shows the Start Copying Files Dialog. It summarizes the current settings

Now the individual setup of each library option that has been selected is started automatically without further questions. Go on with Step 9.

This step is the start of the installation sequence repeated for each selected library option. The installation of the firstor nextselected library option starts. If the library option is already installed on your system, the following warning messages are displayed:

After copying library and manual files, the following message box appears to indicate that the library files are being updated for a specific Function Chart Builder version. This may take a while depending on the amount and size of files:

10. At the end, the installation program shows the Setup Complete dialog.
The Custom Setup is needed If more than one Function Chart Builder version is installed and the libraries should be updated. To define the location of the manuals.

NOTES AMPL PC and DB Libraries Setup 3.2/0 can install libraries for Function Chart Builder 6.2 and Function Chart Builder 6.1. It is also possible to install libraries to future Function Chart Builder releases. By default only the Function Chart Builder version is checked the installation program is related to. For Libraries Version 3.2/0 this is Function Chart Builder 6.2/0. If you uncheck Libraries for Function Chart Builder 6.2 and check them again, all installed versions of Function Chart Builder 6.2 are selected. If you check Libraries for Function Chart Builder 6.1, all installed versions of Function Chart Builder 6.1 are selected.

Choose the destination location. Choose the same folder that was chosen for Function Chart Builder server installation.

Server Installation Install Control Builder A with Function Chart Builder 6.2 or Function Chart Builder 6.1 as server installation. Install AMPL PC and DB Libraries as server installation. Perform Function Chart Builder setup as part of Control Builder A client setup on each client see Control Builder A Release Notes. With this step all libraries installed on server are also available on the client PCs. Deinstallation of AMPL PC and DB Libraries is not possible from a client PC. Deinstallation of Function Chart Builder on the client is provided via the Add/Remove Programs icon in the Control Panel see Control Builder A Release Notes. Deinstallation of Function Chart Builder on the server is provided via the Add/Remove Programs icon in the Control Panel see Control Builder A Release Notes.
3.5 Un-install
Un-install is provided via the Add/Remove Programs icon in the Control Panel. To uninstall AMPL Libraries, select the Add/Remove Programs icon, select the AMPL Libraries version you want to uninstall, e.g., AC 110 AMPL Libraries 3.1/0 and click Change/Remove to uninstall it. To uninstall Function Chart Builder, select the Install/Uninstall tab, select the Function Chart Builder version you want to uninstall, e.g., Function Chart Builder 6.1/0 and click Change/Remove to uninstall it.
