Dear Friends & Supporters,

Happy New Year from the Petrou Family!

As a family, we are well by Gods grace and our ministries are in full fruition! In spite of the economic crisis, the Lord is blessing us through your prayers and sacrificial giving. Let us share our news and prayer items. Erastos, our youngest, is now a teenager in high school and he is active in our church youth group. Besides his schools lessons that he is working hard to cope with, he is enjoying his guitar lessons and his swimming in the pool. The alarming news is that he will need to have an open heart surgery for changing his pneumonic valve that does not close properly. We will know the exact time soon and we will communicate to you to be in prayer. Please pray for Gods glory to manifest in his life! Mark and Erik have finished serving in the Greek army last summer and this year study in the Greek Bible College. Although this has put us under more economic pressure, this is a tremendous blessing! It was not long ago that we were agonizing about their unstable spiritual walk. We pray the Lord to use this time to grant them spiritual growth and maturity. They are involved in youth group and serving food to the homeless every Tuesday. Dinas mother passed away last spring in our home where Dina cared for her as she was battling terminal cancer. Her funeral was a great opportunity to proclaim the Gospel to many people in the village who had never been to an evangelical church. Dina is happy for the opportunity she had to serve her mother in this way. Please pray for Dinas father as he has opportunity to share his testimony to those in the village.

Argyris is healthy and very busy in ministry preaching the Word to different churches while teaching his first year Greek Bible College students the Biblical Doctrines, and the second and third year students about our Saviour, the Holy Spirit and our Salvation. The new focus in Argyris ministry is a new church plant of our church in Agia Paraskevi. Please pray the Lord to use this preaching and teaching for His purposes and especially in the establishment of this new church! Last winter Dina was helping a 22 year Romanian ex-prostitute with two children, teaching her Greek and with her difficulties in life. Her husband was in prison, she nor the children had a place to rest, and sometimes did not even have enough to eat. That experience helped solidify Dinas call for founding the House of Damaris, a safe house for victims of sex-trafficking in Athens. Last April Dina visited Atlanta, GA for some training by several ministries that serve victims of sex-trafficking. Please be praying for our support since we are still seriously under-supported, especially in the area of ministry expenses. We thank the Lord for those of you that are contributing monthly to our needs, but we continue to pray for God to raise up more partners with our ministry. It was back in 2010 when we spent the entire summer to visit some of you in the USA. This is not something we can do again because of all the ministries we are involved in. This summer will be very busy in Athens, but in August we do plan a short support raising trip in USA. We pray for more opportunities to visit all of you. We send you our new prayer card with our gratitude for your prayers and support. Please fold it like a tent and place it on a table. I hope this will remind you daily to pray for us.

May the Lord bless you in every way! Yours in Christ, Argyris and Dina, Mark, Erick and Erastos
