The City of East Palo Police Department created and funded the David Lewis Community Re-Entry Program to assist residents returning home from prison or jail with their reintegration into the Community. The David Lewis Reentry Center provides the following services: Case management: assessment to determine needs and skills, referrals and support to other services as needed, General Assistance, medical care, college, housing, etc. Advocacy and support on issues such as child support, suspended drivers licenses, old court cases, medical care, etc. Transportation: bus passes and tokens. Classes inpersonal development, life skills, financial management, cognitive restructuring, healthy lifestyles, and basic computer skills. Family reintegration and parenting Support groups Social activities Assistance with procuring IDs, driver's licenses, Social Security cards, and health care. Assistance with Resume Development and Job Search We make referrals and work with the following organizations to provide our clients with the highest and most efficient services needed for their successful transition home and to work.

a. Job Train: for classes in GED prep, life skills, job readiness, money management, computer operation, and vocational training, b. Ravenswood Community Health Clinic c. Free At Last: for treatment for drug and alcohol abuse d. El Concilio of San Mateo County: for assistance with emergency rental and utility assistance e. County Human Services: for General Assistance and Food Stamps In order to participate in the program, potential clients must be residents of East Palo Alto or Menlo Park Contact Us:
