This is a 7-digit code released by the dealer. How to request one: - Use the SDD READ IMMO ID function and read the serial number of the centralized unit. - Provide the Authorized Dealer with the following data: a) Centralized unit serial number b) Car chassis c) Copy of the vehicle log book d) Applicants ID document What is the Dealer Code ? This is a code to identify the Authorized Dealer (different for each dealer) that releases the 7-digit Code. The code is located on the rubber stamp used by the dealer to validate work done on the vehicle.
The rubber stamp illustrated is often found in the vehicle maintenance booklet. What is the Importer Code ? This is a code that identifies the country in which the 7-digit CODE is requested (different from country to country). COUNTRY IMPORTER CODE ITALY 264 GREAT BRITAIN 210 ISRAEL 730 USA 444 CANADA 999 SPAIN 572 What is Code 4 ? This is a 4-digit code to use as a PIN CODE on the SDD during the PROG. NEW KEYS or No. KEYS IN MEMORY stages. It is calculated by the CONV74 Program when the other codes are known: Code 7, Dealer Code and Importer Code (see below). Calculating Code 4. To calculate CODE 4 follow the procedure described below: Start the CONV74 program. In the window that appears select CODE 4 as the code to be searched, making sure that the white circle next to the words CODE 4 has been selected . Digit CODE 7, Dealer CODE and Importer CODE. Select the day, month and year of release of CODE 7 by pressing the arrow key next to the data field. Press the CALCULATE key. If the box for CODE 4 shows a 4-digit number without error messages, CODE 4 is VALID. If not, check carefully that the data have been entered correctly. If CODE 4 is valid, the Save in Histroical File button is enabled so that the data and the information relating to the customer can be saved. 3 Advanced Options The CODE 4 search function can also be used in reverse order. If you have correct data relating to: The RELEASE DATE of CODE 7; 3 of the 4 CODES required you can find the missing CODE by selecting the CODE to be searched and entering the data relating to the known codes. Then press CALCULATE. Historical Customer File The CONV74 program is used to file CODE 4 and CODE 7, together with customer and vehicle data and the date of release of Code 7. When a valid CODE 4 has been generated, the Save in Historical File button is enabled so that the code can be saved in the file. Complete the entry mask that appears with the following data: Customers surname * Customers name. Vehicle make *. Vehicle model *. Vehicle registration year. Vehicle registration plate *. Press the SAVE key to save registration. (* Required). It is also possible: 1 to read all the data relating to a registration: select a line from the list and press ENTER or double click with the mouse on the chosen line. Press ESC to quit the screen. 2 delete a registration: select the line to be deleted from the list and press the DELETE key. 3 edit the data relating to a registration: select a line from the list and press ENTER or double click with the mouse on the chosen line. Press ESC to end the operation.
