Little Known Facts Rare Martin Luther King Speech Tape
In a pile of reel-to-reel cassette tapes in an Arizona Goodwill store, was a rare taped recording of a speech made by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The woman who found it, Mary Scanlon, had no idea the tape was rare when she bought it for $3. Dr. King made the speech at Arizona State University and Tanner Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church in 1964.

Franklin County School will not accept outside deliveries for students for Valentines Day.

Valentine Roses: TSIC students are taking orders for roses- $2.50 per rose or $25 per dozen. Extras: $1 for personalized card &
$1 for delivery at school. A TSIC student has been assigned to each grade level. Last day to order is Feb. 10. Delivery on 14th. Valentines Day Candy Grams: The 4th Grade will be taking orders for the candy grams at a cost of $1.00. Order forms due by the end of the day on Feb. 12. Deliveries will be made on Fri, Feb. 14; H/S & M/S during lunch.

**Miss Seahawk Entry Deadline: Fri, Feb. 7, is the deadline to turn in entry form & entry fee of $60.00 to Ms. Clark.
The Miss Seahawk Pageant will be Saturday, Feb. 22, in the FCS cafeteria from 1:00-6:00pm

**Donations of Gently Used Coats: If anyone has coats no longer needed, please consider donating them to the school.
The coats would be made available for students who come to school without coats on cold days or for students to keep if needed. Coats should be turned in to Wanda Teat for elementary students or to Countryman, Solomon, or DeVaughn for upper grades.

2013-14 ESE PARENT SURVEY: The Florida Department of Education is conducting a survey for parents of students who have an Individualized Educational Plan (IEP), receive Exceptional Student Education (ESE) services and are currently attending a Florida Public School. The GED Test will not administered by the Franklin County School District until further notice. For alternative testing locations, contact Maxine Creamer at the Literacy Center at 670-4481. Franklin County School District is no longer required by the FL. Dept. of Education to keep GED records.
