It was World War 4 and a group of the best scientists had gathered together to find a solution for ending the war. After hours of talking and thinking, they finally thought of a way. They had an election to choose the best among themselves to do the job. After counting the votes and determining the chosen scientists, they got to work. It took them a few hours to gather what they needed. They went to the selected location where theyd agreed would be where theyd do the job. They worked for days to setup the place and when it was done, they talked about the details while they ate their last dinner together.

A Year Later Nora stared at her reflection in the bathroom mirror. She couldnt believe Layla hadnt told her. She had just become

Only White friends with her and this was the first time she had come to her house. But when she had entered Laylas room for the first time she had seen a picture of herself as a child on Laylas nightstand! The more she thought about it the angrier she got. Why hadnt Layla told her before or more importantly, why couldnt she remember ever taking that picture?! If you honestly think you can stay in the bathroom forever, youre really out of your mind! came Laylas voice from behind the bathroom door. Nora debated answering her, but as much as she hated to admit it Layla was right, she couldnt stay in the bathroom forever, Where did you get a picture of my childhood? Nora shouted back. That picture on my nightstand isnt a picture of you! Layla replied. Then whose picture is it? Your sisters! Nora was silent for a few minutes. She did not have a sister let alone a twin. I dont have a sister, she said. Layla was also silent for a few minutes, long enough for Nora to think that she might have left. But she finally heard a faint mumble from the other side of the door, Maybe you just dont know about her!

Only White In less than a second Nora burst out of the bathroom and nearly tripped over Layla whod apparently been leaning on the bathroom door and had fallen down when Nora had burst out. Whoever she is, I want to meet her, Nora said while glaring at her so called friend. Her name is Nadia, Layla replied in a brisk tone.

***** A Few Months Later Nora turned up the TV volume as she made breakfast for Nadia and herself. It had been a few months that shed met Nadia and theyd become best friends ever since. They barley even saw Layla anymore. Theyd done a lot of research but they hadnt found any proof that they were even related let alone being sisters. Nadia had just started helping Nora with making breakfast when they both heard someone yell. They both hurried to the kitchen window to what was going on. They saw a woman in a gray cloak trying to steal another womans purse. They both ran to help the woman who was being robbed. When the thief saw them, she let go of the purse and started to run. Nadia who was more athletic took it upon herself to chase her. The thief was fast but Nadia was faster and she

Only White caught up to her a couple blocks ahead. Nadia caught her by her cloak but the woman struggled and managed to free herself of the cloak. The minute she was free, she ran but Nadia caught a glimpse of her face and she was another copy of Nora and herself. Nadia started to walk back to Noras house. She disposed of the dirty cloak the thief left behind at the first trashcan she reached. A few minutes later she reached Noras house but found the door opened wide with Nora standing on the porch. When she got closer she saw the worry etched on Noras face. When she looked inside the house, she saw why. The woman theyd saved looked just like them and now the thief too.

Alpha stared at the computer monitor. He couldnt believe it! After all theyd done something had gone wrong. He had designed the program in a way that the girls would never recognize each other. But apparently someone had messed with it. He just had to find out what theyd changed within the programing, which would mean he had to go through the whole script. He exhaled loudly as he got to work.

Nadia and Nora were waiting for Ariana (the woman theyd rescued from the thief) to call them. Shed met another woman who looked like them and had told them that the woman knew something about what was going on. They were both sitting in Nadias living room waiting for Ariana to call them. Finally Nadias phone started ringing. She answered and after a brief conversation with the person on the other line, she told Nora that Ariana was waiting for them in the park near Nadias apartment. Without speaking another word they both put on their coats and walked the short way to the park. They saw Ariana standing with another woman beside her. They approached them and after proper introductions, Narrin , The new woman, told them that shed started seeing clones of herself since several months ago. And shed lost count of how many shed seen. Nadia, Ariana and Nora were all speechless. Ariana was the first to find her voice again and the question she asked was

Only White the question in all their minds but none of them was sure whether they really wanted to know the answer. What are we? At just that moment, a car took a quick turn into the alley and Narrin smiled as she said, Let me show you. She ran to it and just as the car got close enough that the driver wouldnt be able to stop in time, she jumped in front of it. Nadia, Nora and Ariana all screamed as they saw how the car ran over Narrin. The car stopped a few feet away and the driver got out. Did I hit somebody? the driver asked hysterically. Nadia wanted to scream at the driver but Ariana stopped her with a hand on her shoulder. For a minute, Nadia wanted to yell at Ariana too but when she saw the look on both her friends faces she thought better of it and turned to see what had gotten them so shocked. When she turned back to the street there was no sign of Narrins body or blood. It was like the accident had never happened.

After 100 situps and 200 laps Alpha still couldnt rein in his anger. He decided to run a little while he analyzed his next move.

Only White He had went through a lot of trouble to create a program to help people but a few other people had found out about his program and had hacked it, using it to torture and kill innocents. Theyd figured the way to put other people in the program and torturing them while theyre in it and eventually deleting them which would kill them in the real world. As long as the program existed more and more people would be in danger. He had created the program to save people and now he was being forced to destroy it because humans had once again found a way to use something that was meant to help them against themselves. Without any more debate he decided to destroy the program but first he had to awaken her.

Ariana picked up her phone to no matter how much she thought about it, she couldnt remember why shed picked up the phone. In fact, she couldnt remember anything. It was like one second life was in motion and everything was normal but the next nothing made sense. The only thing Ariana understood was that she needed to go somewhere and her body knew where. ***** Narrin woke up in her bed. Every time she died, she found herself in her bed after spending hours (or days or maybe just minutes) in darkness. Every time she Narrin got up from her bed and started walking. To where? She had no idea. ***** Nelly took off her gray cloak that shed found in a dumpster the day before. She held up the purse shed stolen that day. It was fake leather but it was definitely expensive. Just as she was about to search it for money, she dropped the purse. And without the slightest hesitation she walked over it and

Only White started walking towards a destination she had yet to discover. Nadia, Nora and many others who all shared the same appearance, all one by one headed for a certain destination. They all met at some point but none of them saw the others because they were all one. ***** She could see a white light from behind her eyelids. For the first time after months, she felt the need to breathe. She inhaled a deep breath and her eyes sprang open as she exhaled loudly.

The first thing she realized after waking up were the fragments of different memories that flew across her vision. She saw herself with a bunch of people in heated discussion about war. One by one the fragments came together and made better sense when they all formed a memory she had forgotten. When her mind played through the memory, realization hit her. Something had gone wrong. World War 3 had finished years ago and the whole world was being led by one government that did not support a certain religion or ideology. People thought that because of this, fights and arguments among people with different ideologies would end. But the only difference that occurred was that the government did not empower or defend a certain religious ideology. She and Alpha were both part of a group of scientists that had wanted to test a theory. Alpha had created a computer program that with it, he could transport someone into a figurative city in the program while their body in the real world would look like they were in a coma.

Only White She had agreed to let them take her memories and make copies of her with different backgrounds in the program. People from all over the world could watch her in different life times and see how the differences effect her perspective of life. Theyd planned this to show people how someones life can affect their way of thinking. And how if we put ourselves in each others shoes, wed be less inclined to judge other peoples beliefs. Just as she was thinking this, pictures of her different point of views as different people in the program started to fill her mind.

Only White With a body that hadnt been moved for months, she tried to sit up but aside from her assimilated muscles, tubes that she supposed had kept her alive, prevented her from moving. She heard the sound of someone getting up from a chair from the other side of the room and a few seconds later she saw Alpha standing beside her bed. With a sad smile he said, We need to destroy the program!

If she took another step, shed be outside the cave. A cave that shed trapped herself in for months in order to help her people but she was leaving it without accomplishing anything. She was almost drowning in her thoughts of self pity when a realization hit her. Anything that she or anyone else did wouldnt matter because as long as people have free will, theyll always fight for what they believe. Just like shed fought for her beliefs with what shed done. Fights and rivalry both help people improve because they question our beliefs. What makes fighting a bad thing, isnt our differences but our stubbornness to accept reality. The battle between good and evil created a reason for life and the battle between black and white created colors; so how can you live without battles between opposites when life itself is made of thousands of those battles? So she didnt even waste her time by coming here and doing what she believed in because there are things that youll only understand when teaching. So with an easy and satisfied mind, she stepped out of the cave. And the minute she did so, she saw the next disaster coming her way but she only took a deep breath and got
