RESERVATION FEES: The cabin fee must be paid in advance by Visa or MasterCard. A personal check or cash is accepted in person only at our Vienna, VA headquarters. RESERVATIONS ARE NON-TRANSFERABLE. The renter MUST be at the cabin with their party each night the cabin is reserved. STANDARD RENTAL RULES and CANCELLATION POLICIES: > Full refund, less $10.00 cancellation fee, is available if the reservation is cancelled 15 or more days prior to the first night of the reservation. > 50% of the rental fee, less $10.00 cancellation fee, will be refunded if the reservation is cancelled 8 to 14 days prior to the first night of the reservation. > No refund will be made if the reservation is cancelled 7 or fewer days prior to the first night of the reservation. > Part of a reservation cannot be canceled. The whole reservation must be canceled and a $10 cancellation fee forfeited. > Two-night minimum rentals are required on all weekend reservations more than thirty days ahead. > PATC Member Volunteers may utilize their once-per-year privilege of reserving a cabin an additional seven nights in advance of the two calendar months. > NO-FAULT WINTER POLICY: If a renter cannot get to their cabin due to dangerous driving conditions or road closures, a full refund less $10 cancellation fee will be made after a phone call to the club will be made letting us know of the situation and request for refund and the return of the cabin key. PREMIUM RENTAL RULES and CANCELLATION POLICIES: > All cabins may be reserved up to one year in advance as a Premium Rental with a three-night minimum requirement at twice the regular rental fee per night. > A 50% cancellation fee will be assessed if cancelled more than 14 days in advance. After that time, no refund will be made. SPECIAL PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES TO FOLLOW > The PATC Cabins system uses wooden bunk beds in some cabins. The placement of a young child on the top bunk can be dangerous and not recommended. > Stairways may not always be plumb in our rental cabins, take caution when ascending or descending these stairs as they may be short in length or different heights. > The roads to our rural cabins are unimproved and can be unpredictable, especially during inclement weather. Vehicles that do not have high clearance, 4 x 4 or all wheel drive should use caution. Occasionally, fallen trees may block access in which case parking and hiking in is recommended. > We regret that we cannot make exceptions for personal emergencies as a cause for cancellation.
