What are lapbooks?

A lapbook is basically a booklet you create with a central theme, that can be held on your lap. Most lap books are created on file folders so they can be closed and stored away. We use a file folder and a pocket folder to create our lapbooks, this unit provides all of the cut outs you need to create a lap book like the sample on the following pages.

Pocket file folder, file folder, glue, two small envelopes, brad, markers, crayons, computer printer,

What you will need

Staple the file folder inside the pocket folder. Only print out the pages you need. You can print on colored paper to make your folder fun more interesting or use markers to write the titles on the pages. You can also fill in the white background area with colored paper to make a nicer looking booklet.
