Events, talks and exhibitions There is plenty going on at the London Canal Museum with an exciting and varied programme of special events. These include: Childrens school holiday events Monthly illustrated talks Towpath walks Boat trips through the Islington Tunnel How to nd us The museum is a short walk from St. Pancras International and Kings Cross mainline and underground stations. Buses 10, 17, 30, 45, 46, 59, 63, 73, 91, 205, 214, 259, 390 and 476 serve Kings Cross. Free parking available after 1.30pm Saturdays and all day Sunday. We are outside the congestion charging zone. Opening hours 10.00 16.30 Tuesdays to Sundays inclusive, last admission 30 minutes before closing. Also open bank holiday Mondays. Late opening until 19.30 on the rst Thursday of each month. Closed certain days at Christmas/New Year. Admission 4 Adults 3 Senior citizens, unwaged, students (with proof of status) 2 Children (5 15) 10 Family ticket (2 adults and up to 3 children, or 1 adult and up to 4 children) Children 4 and under admitted free. School parties and groups by arrangement group rates by arrangement. Coach parties by appointment only. Unaccompanied children under 14 not admitted. Accessibility We are one of Londons most accessible museums and disabled visitors are very welcome. Facilities include lifts, accessible displays, accessible toilet, handrails and a special audio tour for visually impaired visitors.

Theres lots to see at the London Canal Museum, in our former ice warehouse built in the 1860s. The building has a great deal of character and interest, and our exhibitions tell two linked stories; the stories of Londons canals, and of the ice trade for which the building was built.
Explore for yourself how people lived and worked on a traditional working narrowboat. Discover more about the forgotten ice trade in the days before refrigerators, and peer into the museums huge ice wells. View our Water and Locks exhibition and have a go at getting the boat through the lock gates!
