FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Families, Happy Valentines Day to the MVMPCS community! Ms. Putnam and I would like to say thank you to all of the students and staff that participated in the MMCI Talent Show. This year was our largest turn out in the five years we have had the talent show. It was amazing to see all the variety of talents that our students performed. It was also wonderful to spend the time with the CCMPCS community. This event could not have been possible without the many parent volunteers who spent many hours making a delicious dinner, rehearsing with students and organizing the show and music. We would like to welcome our new Primary 1 long term sub, Anna Olszewski. Anna will be filling the position vacated by Ms. Kim. She began Wednesday and will shadow Ms. Julie until Friday. Anna will be with us until the end of the school year. She is an Early Childhood Education graduate from Clarion University of PA. This week, we said goodbye to Kelly Robertson, our part-time User Support Staff (USS)/Media IA. Kelly has accepted a full time USS position at Lewistown ES. Can you believe that in just three weeks, we will begin the Maryland State Assessment (MSA)? MSA will occur from March 3rd- 11th. During MSA week, the teachers, Ms. Putnam and I ask that all students arrive to school on time. In previous years, this has always been our best attendance week. Testing will begin promptly at 9:15 until 12:00. We would like to encourage all children to get a restful night sleep and to eat a good breakfast in the morning. Additionally, during testing all students are encouraged to bring water to drink and a small nutritious snack to eat. Have a wonderful weekend, Cita FROM THE ART ROOM: Donations of paper towel and toilet paper rolls are no longer needed. However, please send in any old, no longer needed plastic plates and bowls to be used for paint palettes. Thanks to those of you who have donated items for Art.
