Chemical conversion
At Air Liquide Global E&C Solutions, we have a broad
portfolio of technologies for the conversion of feed-
stock into synthesis gas for downstream applications
starting from various feedstocks like coal or naphtha or
natural gas.
We customize plant solutions adapted to your projects
objectives, offering processes that can produce syn-
thesis gas (hydrogen and CO), methanol, propylene
and Fischer-Tropsch-based synthetic fuels at a high
yield and of excellent quality. For customers in need of
highpurity oxygen, we propose our patented cryogen-
ics air separation technology as well as a wide range
of gas cleaning solutions like Rectisol

Petroleum rening
At Air Liquide Global E&C Solutions, we offer custom-
ized solutions for clean fuel production based on our
own hydrogen and sulfur technologies. Our solutions
and innovative concepts address customers major
needs inherent to an increase in crude capacity and/
or the improvement of product quality to meet stricter
specications and environmental regulations.
Our portfolio also includes solutions such as gas
to liquid (GTL), coal to liquid (CTL) and biomass to
liquid (BTL), for the production of motor fuels from
alternative feedstocks.
As a result of our solutions and approach, we have
been able to help customers put in place more efcient
operations with higher sustainability in production and
better energy efciency, and adapt their products to
meet new market requirements.
Renewable resources
At Air Liquide Global E&C Solutions, we deliver optimized
solutions to our customers for the conversion of renew-
able resources to bulk chemicals that can be specically
designed for implementation in any project. Flexible
in scope, we are capable of working with a variety of
feedstock. Our technology portfolio includes processes
to convert oils and fats to biodiesels and sugar/starch
to bioethanol or sorbitol, as well as vegetable oils from
oilseeds for the food industry through to fatty acid, fatty
alcohol and glycerol products for the chemical industry.
Bioliq, a technology for the conversion of unused residual
biomass (such as agricultural and forestry residues) into
syngas and synthetic fuels, is part of our ongoing effort
to further tap renewable resources for sustainable
production of fuel and energy.

Carbon capture
Although the market is still maturing, companies in-
volved in power production, as well as large industries
such as iron and steel, are exploring the best means
of capturing CO
2
either for geological storage or for
enhanced oil recovery (EOR).
Our capture options not only include Cryogenic Puri-
cation Units (CPU) for CO
2
purication, but also Air
Separation Units (ASU) for oxygen production in some
cases. The solutions for the purication and capture of
CO
2
under our Cryocap brand are diverse, encom-
passing processes based on cryogenics, membranes
and adsorption.

Metals processing
Air Liquide Global E&C Solutions is a reference partner
in customizing air separation (cryo and non-cryo) solu-
tions, enabling producers of ferrous and non-ferrous met-

From non-cryo standard plants to modular air separa-
tion units (ASUs), custom cryogenic units and mega
ASUs, Air Liquide Global E&C Solutions has a wide
range of innovative and advanced technologies for the
separation of air, syngas and C0

In addition to customizing plants, we can supply oxygen
(as well as nitrogen and argon) that meets the various
