6. FAQ (Troubleshooting)
1. USB connection failure
UAX2 is USB 2.0 compatible. The minimum power specified for a USB 2.0 port is 500 mA. There are USB 2.0 ports on certain computers, which do not meet the minimum specified power requirements or you are using a passive USB hub. In these cases, you may encounter an unexpected problem or connection failure. We suggest using the included USB 2.0 cable and plugging it directly into your computers USB port on the motherboard.
3. Theres no signal when connecting a signal source to LINE IN on the rear panel.
UAX2 has Microphone + Hi-Z input on the front and LINE input on the rear panel. You have to select your designated input mode in the UAX2 control panel. After starting the UAX2 control panel, select MIC/INST for front panel input or LINE 1/2 for rear panel input. (See chapter 4.4 Control Panel)
4. I can hear only one channel (Left or Right) with direct monitoring.
The input channels of UAX2 are forwarded separately to each output. MIC/LINE IN (LEFT) is monitored in LINE OUT (LEFT) and Hi-Z / LINE IN (RIGHT) is monitored in LINE OUT (RIGHT) channel. If you want to listen to them together in both left and right channels, you have to turn on the Mix monitoring feature by the Master volume control wheel (pressing it for 2 seconds). Please note, that once youve turned on the Mix mode, each input signals will be processed as a combined mono channel.
5. MUTE On / Off does not work with Master volume control wheel.
The master volume control wheels MUTE function is designed to prevent unwanted behavior while controlling the volume, therefore it requires a specific pressure duration. - Mute On / Off = Press for 1 second. - MIX On / Off = Press for 2 seconds.
