This 17th annual issue of the CAMESE Compendium of Canadian Mining Suppliers presents our associations corporate members, which are Canadian mining suppliers looking to market their products and services to the mining industry across Canada and around the world. With nearly 10,000 exploration, development and mining operations worldwide, half of which are outside our country, the Canadian mining industry has become renowned for providing highly productive, safe and environmentally sound performance. The success our miners enjoy is largely due to our suppliers, who oer highly advanced technology at competitive costs. To ease your search to nd the suppliers best suited to help you run successful, modern mining operations here and abroad, you need to look no further than among these pages. In 2011, CAMESE celebrated its 30th anniversary. Our association was founded by a small group of Canadian business people, who had an idea during a trade mission to Chile and Peru in 1981. Their concept was that by banding together they could accomplish more than they could as individual companies. This common ground still exists for CAMESE today, even though the membership has grown from a handful of organizations to more than 300. CAMESEs mission is to assist Canadian mining supply rms to be successful in marketing to the world. We hope you agree this Compendium showcases our industry in a manner that will encourage you to want to do more business with Canadian rms. In addition to the Compendium, CAMESE provides its members with marketing information and advice, advocacy and a marketing program that includes our website and participation in Canada pavilions at international mining exhibitions. The book starts o with a subsector index that will help you select groups of rms in which you may have interest. For example, if you are interested in Drilling Equipment & Supplies, you will nd 21 rms under that heading, or, under Mineral Processing & Supplies, 25 members listed. For each subsector, you will products and services, or visit our website at www.camese.org to nd out more. If you wish CAMESEs assistance in sourcing products or services, our sta is

L CRONE GEOPHYSIcS & EXPLORATION LTD.
Crone Geophysics & Exploration Ltd. designs and manufactures geophysical equipment, including the PULSE EM (or PEM) system the leading time-domain electromagnetic (TDEM) system for surface and borehole mineral exploration. Crone also provides contract surveys and consulting (see Geophysical Surveys section). Since 1962, Crone has pioneered instrument design and method development. They developed the rst commercial TDEM system in the 1970s, and continued to lead the industry with deep borehole logging and fully digital receivers. In 1991, they were the rst to provide three-component TDEM measurements down boreholes. During the 1990s, a step-response data transformation was introduced, using unique features of Crones PEM system. Soon after, SQUID and uxgate magnetometers were rst used with Pulse EM and are now used routinely for deep surface and borehole exploration and in sensor arrays with full-waveform recording. Flexibility and state-of-the-art technology make Pulse EM the ultimate TDEM system.

L PHOENIX GEOPHYSIcS LTD.
Since 1975, Phoenix Geophysics Ltd. of Toronto has provided geophysical instrumentation and services to clients in 75 countries and has carried out surveys for most of the worlds largest mining companies. Phoenix specializes in magnetotellurics (MT), audiofrequency MT (AMT), controlled-source AMT (CSAMT), induced polarization (IP), and EM in time and frequency domain. These techniques identify subsurface anomalies that can signal the presence of base and precious metals and diamond-bearing kimberlites. Highsensitivity phase IP was instrumental in mapping the weak IP anomalies associated with the Hemlo gold orebody in Ontario, Canada, in the 1980s. In 1992, a Phoenix surface MT survey detected a nickel-copper ore body at a depth of 1,750 m., triggering a wave of interest in MT as a deep-looking exploration technique. Recent Phoenix MT, AMT, and CSAMT surveys detected new kimberlites in Arkhangelsk, Russia, and western Africa. Recent surface AMT surveys in Canada mapped known kimberlites at depth.

Lubricants
L PNEUMA-TOOL INc.
Pneuma-Tool Inc. has developed a patented series of rock-drill lubricants that have been proven to solve most of the problems associated with air-tool lubrication, foremost being elimination of oil fog (oil mist). These lubricants protect the functioning of miners lungs, eliminate slip/fall hazards, improve visibility so that miners can work more productively, reduce ventilation requirements at headings (ideal for shaft sinking, raise mining), and improve miners cleanliness and hygiene (no smell, no odor, no taste). Pneuma-Tool is proven to be fog-free at temperatures as high as 65C. It increases tool service intervals by up to 800% (air motors), reduces tool freeze-up associated with traditional rock-drill oils, does not wash out by water in compressed air, can be used at reduced injection rates, is ideal for all percussive tools, air motors, air cylinders, air tracks, tuggers, jumbos, ITH drills, muckers, bolters, and is inherently biodegradable (25% in 28 days).
