This scholarship has helped make my college education an affordable dream, providing me with the freedom to concentrate on my engineering

studies while continuing to pursue extra-curricular and community service opportunities. I plan to volunteer for summer engineering internships at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, which I will help me pursue my career goal of working in the Aerospace industry.

Emma Holmes, Univ. of Maryland, College Park 2013 Recipient

Receiving a Wings Over America scholarship is extremely important to me, and I cannot fully express how grateful I am. Tuition costs continue to rise each year and it becomes more difficult to minimize the amount of debt I will have when I graduate. This scholarship goes a long way in helping me pay for school.

The price of higher education today is, as everyone knows, is prohibitively expensive. However, thanks to the Wings Over America, attending one's dream school is an achievable goal. I am so thrilled to win again because it is another step in my college career, and one that makes college a more affordable, reasonable experience.
