TRISHA is a 33-year-old writer who often travels with her husband. As a writer she is always on the lookout for inspiration and she is not afraid to venture out into unfamiliar territory. She loves to take pictures and jot down notes on her travels but has never used an actual travel journal.

Trisha opns the Dtour app. Her homepage is mostly empty because shes a first time user. She taps the Start a New Tour image.

She is prompted to enter in her location which shows up on a map on the same page.

After entering her location, the app scrolls down the page which displays her current address with an option to change the location which will take her back to the top of the page. She presses the START button.

She sees her first instruction on the page Walk east until you find something that reminds you of home, with an option to change it which will then randomly generate another instruction. When she finds what she is looking for she presses the camera button to document her experience.

She is taken to a Journal page in which a retractable sidebar slides over giving her options to take photos/videos and add them to the page, as well as jot down notes via a keyboard input or handwriting using her finger on the touchscreen. A bubble with instructions also pops up because Trisha is a first time user. Trisha adds a photo to the page and taps the save button.

She is taken back to the Instructions page with the next set of instructions given to her. She also sees a pop-up that prompts to share her content online. Keeping that in mind, Trisha proceeds to follow the next set of instructions and so forth.

Scenario 2

DAN is a 20-year-old university student who is just beginning to travel on his own. He is fascinated by the idea of psychogeography tourism but not as keen about getting lost and not being able to find his way back when touring unfamiliar places.

After completing a session on the Dtour app, Dan goes back to the Homepage. Hes used the app a couple times so the Homepage shows a record of his past sessions. He taps on the map icon on the bottom of the screen.

He is taken to a page with a map that shows a mark of his most recent saved starting point and the surrounding area. Wanting to get an overall view of his last session, he taps on Tour Map.

He is taken to a page with psychogeographic map that shows the path he had taken during his session. Pop-up thumbnails also show up where he made documentation. Needing to get back to where he started, Dan taps the Backtrack button.

The app uses the GPS function to pinpoint Dans current location.

When his location has been found, he is taken to a page with the address of his current location and starting point. Checking to see the information is correct, Dan taps on Begin Navigation.

The Navigation page shows Dan suggested routes to take along with instructions. There is also an option to view the route on a map. With this, Dan follows the given instructions and makes his way back to his starting point.

Scenario 3

JOAN is a 42-year-old single woman who loves to travel whenever she gets a holiday from work. She is just beginning to try out psychogeography tours and is liking it so far. On these walks she would document her experience, whether it be taking pictures and videos or jotting down notes. However, sometimes she finds it hard to find specific files because they were saved all over the place on her phone.

Joan opns the Dtour app. Shes used the app quite a few times so the Homepage shows a record of her past sessions. She taps on the library icon on the bottom of the screen.

She is taken to the Media Library page where she can access her files from individual trips. Currently touring Amsterdam, Joan taps on the Amsterdam trip image.

In the trip page she sees a list of all the sessions (or as the app calls it: dtours) she did in Amsterdam. She may also access all the media files, go to the info page for Amsterdam, as well as make edits. Joan taps on the most recent dtour.

The dtour page shows a list of categories of all the media files as well as the psychogeographic map (4th folder) for that walk. There is also an option to go to the travel journal page. She opens the video folder.

The app informs Joan that she does not have any video files yet for this particular dtour. She taps the + button to add a video.

She is taken back to the journal page where she can drag the video item to change its position on her journal page. Once happy with the position, Joan then taps on the video item to start recording.
