Historical Trading Cards

The Doctor is assembling a team to complete several challenges across time and space. You and your group need to help him assemble his team by gathering the greats throughout history. The Doctor needs a well rounded team who can complete a variety of challenges. Each of your groups will trade cards to create what you believe to be the best team possible. Each groups must make at least TWO trades.

 You have 10 minutes to plan and assemble your team. Then we will run through several practice challenges to see which team wins a trip through time and space in the Tradis (a candy bar).

Challenge 1
The Tardis lands far into the past, and The Doctor cant tell how far back you are. He needs someone to help identify the year. 1 point for someone born over 500 years ago. (Before 1514) 2 points for someone born over 1000 years ago. (Before 1014)

Challenge 2
You jump ahead to modern New York. (Watch out for the angels.) The Doctor needs someone on his team who can show him around town. 1 point for someone still alive 2 points for someone alive and from New York

Challenge 3
In New York you run into the Weeping Angels. You need someone with mechanical skills to help The Doctor build a device to beat them. 1 point for every team member who is an inventor

Challenge 4
The Tardis arrives at a space club on Satatlite 5. Everyone is looking at you to provide entertainment. 1 point for all entertainers (athletes dont count in this challenge) 2 points for all comedians

Challenge 5
You arrive in England, the Doctors favorite place. 1 point for each person from England

Challenge 6
You are suddenly enlisted into an army to fight the Cybermen. 1 point for each person with athletic abilities

Challenge 7
You did so well in the army that you are being promoted to a leadership position! 1 point for every person who has ever commanded an army 2 point for every person who won a war

Challenge 8
The Doctor has wandered off and you discover a child hiding in some bushes. The child looks like she needs help. If there are more good people than bad people on your team, get three points (Justin Bieber is bad) If you have more bad people than good, no points If it is even, get one point

Challenge 9
The Tardis had broken down in Earths orbit and needs to be rescued from an approaching Dalek ship. 1 point for each scientist 2 points for astronomers and those who have been is space

Challenge 10
You end up in a pick up game of null gravity basketball 1 point for each athlete 2 points for each basketball player

Challenge 11
The Doctor left a secret message that can save the world in the walls of the White House. 2 points for each US President 1 point to every ruler of a foreign country

Challenge 12
Outside the White House is a peaceful protest for human rights. 1 point for every civil rights leader (Ghandi, Martin Luther King Jr., Mandella, etc.) 2 points if they arent from the US

Bonus Round
1 point for:
Asian African Latino Other Minority Non entertainer woman Still alive AND under 40 Artists (Not musicians or actors)

2 points for:
Your favorite English teacher Someone born in Idaho
