Advisory Role
My role has been to manage the client side functions of the dispute for one of the partners,
which has covered various areas of law including partnership, company, property, trusts.
Responsibilities include to:
• Liaise and correspond with solicitors, counsel, accountants and pension advisors;
• Review correspondence and advice, and discuss instructions to be given by the partner;
• Review and amend drafting of Defence and Counterclaim documents, Mediation position
statements and a Settlement Agreement;
• Review document bundles received as part of the disclosure process;
• Provide interpretation of terms and conditions of various legal documents, including leases and
a Settlement Agreement;
• Prepare documents and schedules for use in mediation;
• Attend and actively partake in negotiations at mediation and subsequent settlement
negotiations.
