Paige Anderson Office: Sentinel Grade: 12 Other offices/activities in FFA? Livestock judging, ag sales and barnyard day Why did you join FFA? I joined FFA because it was a family tradition. FFA has
brought me a lot of awesome experiences such as the state and national conventions. What do you like most about FFA? Being in FFA has been amazing. I love the career development events and the national convention. I enjoyed being a delegate and competing on teams such as general livestock judging and ag sales. I also enjoy the FFA barnyard day because we bring our baby sheep. Its fun to show them to the little kids. How has FFA helped you grow as a person? FFA has taught me more than just agriculture. It has taught me to be responsible, given

your eyes to the whole world, through agriculture. Not only that, but I have learned a lot of useful skills and had many opportunities that I would have never experienced if I had not joined FFA. How has FFA helped you grow as a person? FFA helped me unlock my leadership and communication abilities. I have also grown through the many interesting things I have learned from the teams I have been on. It has also helped me to not be afraid of being in front of people. What advice would you give to younger students? I would encourage others to get involved in something that interests them because FFA can open a ton of doors for the future. FFA is one of the best things to get involved in because it has ample opportunities to learn and grow. What are your plans for the future? I am undecided on whether to go to South Dakota State University or the University of Minnesota to study biotechnology or plant science.

Sydney Eddy Office: Reporter Grade: 11 Other offices/activities in FFA? In the past, I have been a part of the crops and small animals teams, and I am currently in job interview. I also participate in fruit sales and the FFA crop show. Why did you join FFA? Many of my family members were in FFA, and I wanted to keep the tradition going. FFA is also great for meeting new people and a great way to give back to the community. What do you like most about FFA? I love going to competitions and meeting new people. Its so cool to see all of the FFA jackets walking around and know that they have a common goal with you to help build America through agriculture. How has FFA helped you grow as a person? It has helped me in ways I didnt know it could. Before, I thought I had all the friends I needed with sports. FFA taught me that you can never have enough friends, and you can constantly be making new ones. FFA has also taught me to think of others and how I can help them instead of always thinking about me. What advice would you give to younger students? Go out and try something new. If youre someone who just plays sports or just does things with the arts, you might not get the chance to see what things like FFA can do for you and what other interests you may have. Whatever you do, just have fun with it and enjoy the ride. What are your plans for the future? I plan to use the skills I have learned from FFA to get into a four-year college and eventually a job.
