NCDA-certied professional are able to use NetApp SnapMirror, SnapRestore, and SnapVault to manage and protect mission-critical data. They are also procient with common storage efciency technologies, including deduplication, thin provisioning, and compression, and they understand the basics of server administration in at least two of the following operating systems: Windows Server, Linux, Solaris, AIX, and HP UNIX. To complete this certication, applicants must have 6 to 12 months of eld experience. NetApp Certied Implementation Engineer A NetApp Certied Implementation Engineer (NCIE) fully understands customer storage requirements and is able to assist with installing and implementing NetApp solutions. NetApp offers two NCIE certications: NetApp Certied SAN Implementation Engineer. Implements Fibre Channel and iSCSI SAN solutions,

and integrates different operating systems and applications such as Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL Server, DB2, and Oracle. NetApp Certied Backup and Recovery Implementation Engineer. Demonstrates proven skills in positioning NetApp disaster recovery solutions, assessing customer storage requirements, and implementing backup and recovery solutions. NetApp Certied Storage Associate A NetApp Certied Storage Associate has a foundational knowledge of NetApp storage and solutions. The NCSA program provides a basic understanding of the storage industry, virtualization, NetApp storage systems and technologies, and basic management of CIFS, NFS, and iSCSI environments on Data ONTAP. Associates have the ability to make informed decisions about storing, managing, and protecting data. We offer this program free of charge to qualied academic institutions and
