Take a look inside!

A Letter from Cortney.......................... 1

Cortneys Letter
As the weather begins to cool down, I am constantly reminded this time of year of what it truly means to be a Texan. Football season is here, the Texas State Fair in full force, and before we know it the busy days of fall will all too quickly fade into the holidays. For me, these last months of the year are always my favorite. For us here at KCT the celebrations will start early as October 29, 2013 will mark KCTs ten year anniversary. Looking back on the roots of where we started and how far we have come stirs both humbleness and excitement. To image ten years ago that KCT would be in four markets with over 150 therapists in 2013 would have been a dream, but with the support of our Texas communities and partners we have grown beyond what I thought possible. While proud, I owe a thank you to all of those in the community who have made our accomplishments possible over the past ten years. As many of us know the end of the year is full of holiday events, conferences, and busy schedules. With all that is going on for the rest of the year, its important we remember to take time to reflect on all that is around us that we have to be thankful for. In our industry, we are constantly reminded of the hardships of those less fortunate than so many of us. Each November, when I sit down to be thankful, I always think about how so many of the people I am surrounded with in our industry have made their lives

work around helping others. Because of this, I know that many of you see how hard the holidays can be for many families. KidsCare Therapy plans to continue their annual canned food drive, and to sponsor as many families as possible for the holiday season. However, there is more assistance needed out there than we could ever possibly fill. We would like to take this opportunity to reach out to those who have always been so generous in our industry and ask that you participate in any way possible in helping those in need, especially over the coming months. As the year winds down, I hope each of you take time to enjoy the holidays, and remember all that you have to be thankful for. I wish each of you a wonderful end of 2013, and I look forward to updating you on our future in 2014!

CLASP Giving Day and Gala

KidsCare Therapy is a proud supporter of CLASP International, an organization whose mission is to support and improve the lives of children and adults with disabilities in developing countries. So when North Texas Giving Day decided to sponsor CLASP by matching every dollar donation given to them on September 19th, KidsCare Therapy rallied the troops to participate. Our employees donated $1,025 during the one day alone, which came out to $2,050 once the contributions were matched. We are proud to say that Shannon Benton, Founder and Executive Director of CLASP International, was a KCT therapist when we were getting started. Today, she and members of her team frequently travel to Africa and other developing countries to provide therapy to villages, bringing rehabilitation services to the special needs population who is so often forgotten in these parts of the world.
